Re: Oldest footage of Highbury?
"Huddersfield was the ground chosen for the Arsenal Grimsby clash..." as the opening line seems like a bit of a giveaway!

Re: Victims FC to win the League, or who else will?
I really really don't get the hate for Steven Gerrard, any decent football supporter would want him to win a league title for staying at Liverpool for his whole career and not having his head turned by more lucrative offers from Chelsea and many others.we all moan about players being money grabbing ...

Re: Connection problems- Hostgator
I want to punch that smug gator prick straight in his grinning prick jaw. And for it not to hurt and ultimately end as badly as I imagine punching an alligator would play out in real life. If Steve Irwin's death has taught us anything it's that you might get away with physically(/sexually) abusing ...

Re: FA CUP TRADE OFF POLL
I'm too lazy to actually click on a voting option but, whilst I get the "for the greater good concept", personally I'll be going for the FA cup win on the basis that, regardless of whatever hypothetical reasoning anyone posts on here ahead of time, once that game kicks off (assuming we eve...

Re: Swansea match thread
I don't think energy, nor application or effort were really so much of an issue tonight. Bit surprised so many people thought they were. If anything I thought we we were charging aroound around like headless chickens most of the game, which is a prime example of why we'll never learn from games like...

Who was the win against then? Or was that 3-0 city game more recent than I thought? I cant remember us beating anyone else away.

Good point, you're right. Scratch the point about Villa etc above.augie wrote:Dan I'm guessing that if they are only talking about 15 games over 5 seasons, then they must be only talking about away games ??

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
I'm not defending our record in any way, but is this right? I can think of three wins off the top of my head; 1-0 vs Utd in May 2011, 5-3 vs Chelsea in Oct 2011 and 1-0 vs City in Apr 2012. Even the 3-0 victory away at City is less than five years ago... :? Neither chavs nor city finished top 4 in ...

Re: Press conference cancelled tomorrow
Had a feeling for a little while he might take the France job after the world cup, in time for a home tournament in 2016, as a sort of managerial swansong, and possibly try to combine that with some sort of move upstairs with us - ambassador :| , director of football  , transfer negotiator :wo...

Re: Everton FA Cup
Not sure what depresses me most, the fact Wonga might pick a "weakened" team to rest players in the only competition we can win, or the fact that that "weakened" team might be better than the so called strongest line up.   Tbh I don't think there's much in it, th...

Re: Can VictimS FC Win the League?
Still a no from me, I think one really poor result will have a knock-on effect for them. What's more I think they'll struggle next year. If they do make CL that's probably 8-10 draining midweek matches with a lot of travelling and an inevitably demoralising exit around Feb/early March. They have no...

Re: Can VictimS FC Win the League?
not a hope in hell, they have flattered to deceive for 20+ years now, they are on a good run,for now,it will end soon enough, they are no better or worse than us and we haven't a hope in winning the league.i said chavski at the start of the season due to the Mourinho element,i haven't changed my mind....

Re: Can VictimS FC Win the League?
Every bastard season we get the joy of spending the last few months dreading one hideous bunch of *word censored* or another winning this trophy or that while we look in from the outside, drifting along with nothing meaningful to play for. For all intents and purposes we are essentially g88ner help...

Re: Stillness and Speed
I'm pretty sure if we'd played Bergkamp's book in the middle of the park today it would have spent less time lying on the ground than Wilshere did. I think you'll find the actual pitch markings spent less time on the ground than Wilshere. Wilshere out-doing white lines... Ooda...
