Re: THE WENGER THREAD

"It was a tight game until 2-0. City had three shots on target and we had two". Guess who said that, lol. All this talk of managerial replacements, everyone seems to be missing an important element. The moment when any potential candidate sits down with his agent and is asked what he wants...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

Once again, after having him almost caught, he slips off the hook. All the great minds gathered in front and he uses the old chestnut about being amazed that I still have to answer these kinds of questions, not one of the journalists thought of asking him "at what point do you become responsibl...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

The message in the presser from was another version of 'why do look at me' plea, poor sod just wants to be left alone. Or it can be taken as a subliminal message to Pep to take pity on a fellow coach, and call the dogs off tomorrow, just take a point, you can afford it. So Wenger can call getting a ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

If nothing else its good to see the press corps finally really getting on his case, instead of blowing smoke up his arse. Even better, he is getting prickly at the questions and comments he faces. Also makes a change from the press deriding the ungrateful Arsenal fans protests against him. Its the b...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

This is why we keep getting worse. We have a manager who lives in a bubble. He isnt trying to save face - he actually believes his comment “I cannot understand anybody wanting to leave Arsenal." This is why our decline will continue, because Wenger refuses to admit the deep rooted issues at ou...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

"In the last nine years only once have we been the worst performing English club in the Champions League." Right up there with '4th is a trophy', priceless. Imagine the dressing room, next season, half time in a last 16 tie with Bayern Munich in the 1st away leg. We are 2 goals behind, nee...

You ok for me to tweet a shot of it, to show we're taking this seriously? Make sure there is no...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

Just had a call from a friend, who has connections with the football agent Jorge Mendez. He has word Wenger has already agreed a deal to go to Barcelona this summer. He has been ahead of the curve on a couple of other things. Just thought I would share this, even though I find it difficult, no impos...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

All those hacks like John Cross and Ollie Holt are part of the problem. I for one have been calling for a change for 5 years, and I don't claim to be the only one, the fault lines have been there for 6 or 7 years. But all the while, through banner protests and physical confrontations in the stadium,...

Re: Bayern Munich (A) | CL R16 | Wed 15 Feb 19:45

Not much more to be said apart from Wenger must now go. The bit I struggle to understand most is our attitude at 3-1 down. There must have been some discussion at Colney this week about possible scenarios, one of which should have been our code red position. We were playing Bayern in their back yard...

Gunner Rob wrote:Capacity of Gander Green Lane is 5,013

Capacity in the trees overlooking the ground - unknown :D
Wenger could smuggle in at least 3 more fans under his unfeasibly long coat, so long as the zip can cope.

Wouldn't it be typical if we lost tonight and the bin dippers took all 3 points from Chelsea?

Re: FA CUP V SOTON

As I understand, only safety issues (grounds are given a capacity safety licence every season) can force a switch of venue.
Even if they did Sutton wouldn't benefit as the extra revenue is put into a central fund, not given to the clubs.

I don't get it, why are Watford not waiting to go 3 goals down at Bournemouth before replying?

Re: PNE AWAY FA CUP.

I think it will be an Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Jeff Reine-Adelaide, kind of line up. But will Wenger take the liberty of stooping to a Yaya Sanogo, Carl Jenkinson flavour? I doubt it, he has to show Preston a slight bit of respect. Seriously though, if he cant trust Jenko against this level of opposi...
