Re: Olympiacos H Thurs 27th Feb, 8pm
Hard to find anything positive to say about last night, poor all night with issues all over the pitch. What should happen now is that preparations start for next season immediately. And that should mean things like more game time for the likes of Martinelli and Nketiah, keep playing Ceballos to dete...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
I have to agree that although still glaring issues and results not being there the team have in general looked more organised and players appear to have an idea what their role is, which they didn't under Emery. And we have been working/pressing harder than before which is taking its toll on fitness...

Re: Manure (H) New Years Day 8pm
Cautiously optimistic about the club right now after the last 2 games. Even after we lost against the Chavs I said it was the most organised I had seen an Arsenal team in a very long time. When Freddie was in charge he mentioned our issue around transition when we lose the ball and it's something Ar...

We appear to be playing wing-backs and wingers. How is that going to work?

Re: Frankfurt (A) 19/9 5:55pm (!)
Xhaka just seems more comfortable and less rash when Torreira is alongside him. Torreira wasn't even particularly good last night but maybe it's like a security blanket thing. I think we'd all agree we'd rather see Torreira and Guendouzi than Xhaka being in the team but if Emery is going to persist ...

Re: Unai Emery
This is a great post that I found elsewhere that really does put things in perspective Pep's first season at City. The summer he arrived, on top of already having players like Aguero, D. Silva and De Bruyne he spend £190m on transfers to further strengthen his squad. Yet at the end of the season he...

Re: The 'I told you so' EU referendum - Officially the Worst Thread Ever
We can argue the toss until the cows come home. At the end of it all, the real problem for Brexit has been the fact that at no stage of proceedings have we ever had the losing sides grace or consent. And they have no intention of surrendering it any time soon, either. I'd say the biggest problem is...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
They say it's a funny old game, but something struck me today :rubchin: For years we were rightly highly critical of Wenger signing sub par players for our great club and as an extension only aiming for CL qualification as a target. Yet now I find with him gone we fans are now accepting this as our...

L'Equipe claim David Luiz is trying to force a move to #Arsenal. https://t.co/uB5DXpqRTO #Arsenal have made a firm offer for the Brazilian defender who absolutely wants to make the move & refused to train today as Chelsea continue to attempt to block him from moving to Arsenal. further report t...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Surely if we are going to cash in on Auba it wouldn't be to buy someone like Zaha, it would be to strengthen the team elsewhere like the defence/midfield. Even accepting that Zaha is younger it doesn't make sense to sell last seasons top scorer and use the money to buy someone effectively in the sa...

Re: Kos refuses to travel to US for pre season tour
Seems he has taken issue with us triggering an extension when he thought he'd be a free agent so had been negotiating with other clubs. Guessing he would have been happy for us to trigger it if he was still injured and if he didn't like the clause why did he agree to it. Not sure why the club felt i...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Not only that but because of the inflated market we might well get our money back....or maybe even MAKE A PROFIT   :barscarf: Maitland-niles, torreira and the dozi wouldn't be a bad midfield imo - again it wouldn't be the finished article by any means, but it would be 3 young players gr...
