Re: The Gooner - Issue 224

Bits of DHL are quite amusing but there's a bit too much foul language for me, which could negatively influence the 'family' appeal of the printed Gooner. But I thought the whole issue was positive and an enjoyable read generally.

Is that separately or combined? (it's a genuine question - not a wind up)

Rose-tinted spectacles? Theo may perform brilliantly but only in flashes but Bale - I hate to say - is right up there with the best.

Most rational Arsenal fans accept that Spuds are a far superior team. Accepting it makes you sane and analytical.

Apart from Wolves things haven't been that bad recently, so a bit soon to get too morose.

I hate to say this, but credit where it's due, the Spuds did yesterday evening what we should have done in the afternoon - disposed of an average side (better certainly than Wolves) without allowing them a sniff of goal. Their manager understood the importance of blending youth and experience withou...

Absolutely fantastic last night and having looked at the paper even better this morning. Headlines suggesting Manchester clubs got the perfume for Christmas they didn't want - Chanel No 5! :D :D

It's gone full circle and we are back where we started 15 years ago. Time to move on. Arsene who?

It says something when we can't even be confident of beating Shrewsbury. And I'm not. Shrewsbury 80-1 for 0-2 with Paddy Power?

I just couldn't believe how we folded in the 2nd half. One own goal is embarrassing - but two? Such a depressing, spineless defensive performance. Someone has to carry the can for the team's accelerating demise, otherwise goodness knows where it will all end. The Championship? I am unable to see how...

I hear that there is a shop in Seville that may offer a decent range of hard hats but Arsenal refused to buy them for some reason?

Anyway, I hope the poor lady is OK - I can't see the point in the flags, particularly if they are that dangerous. Just obscure people's view.

I think there is no alternative now but the sack...so many of us could see it coming but what a shame it had to all end like this.

Also full of xenophobic refs who just can't wait to put one over on the Arsenal "foreigners". They'll never let Arsene forget that all-foreign squad he used against Crystal Palace. And even Geordie Shearer thought it was a penalty

Why were our players smiling at the end? I won't smile until Tuesday at least and there may not be much to smile about then either. Could you have seen Keown shaking Barton's hand? Throat more likely...

Maybe we could sing "You'll never play here again"?

Would be interesting to see the response.

Yet somehow deep down it does ot fit with "we'll support you evermore!"

Pity for poor Cesc though who does deserve our appreciation plus a couple of others like JW, SZ and probably RVP.
