Re: Unai Emery
This is a great post that I found elsewhere that really does put things in perspective Pep's first season at City. The summer he arrived, on top of already having players like Aguero, D. Silva and De Bruyne he spend £190m on transfers to further strengthen his squad. Yet at the end of the season he...

Re: Adidas New Kit Sponsor (NSFW)
Wasn't impressed at all on Saturday... bought a new third shirt in the World of Sport before kick-off for £60, and then they wouldn't even give me a fucking bag to put it in unless I paid them another quid. Apparently they've done away with the 10p bags purely to fleece people for as much as possibl...

Re: Official - Adidas New Kit Sponsor
I’m advocating communal showers be installed in that gym ASAP. On the jersey front I ended up returning my long sleeve away and exchanged it for a short sleeve. The sleeve length is just that little bit shorter than the Nike and Puma long sleeves I have and it didn’t feel right. So that’s the home ...

Pretty deserted inside the Emirates for the women's game (apparently the PC brigade are trying to keep this a secret on social media, as there's absolutely no mention of it)...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
he has obviously been paid by the club for this year, and so hasn't felt the need to return to management. Definitely. Emery joined us on May 23, 2018, and yesterday was his one-year anniversary - so likely the end of Wenger's salary / gardening leave too. The fact that this interview pops up the v...

Re: Emirates Cup 2019
It seems pretty ridiculous that tickets for this cost more than Europa League and League Cup games did last season. After booking fees, it's over £30 to sit in the very back row in the upper tier. Had it been £10 stadium-wide I may have gone (to the second game only, obviously), but those prices are...

Re: Unai Emery
Well, that's the end of Unai's first season (as far as the league goes), and I'm naturally disappointed that we missed out on top four. Had Aubameyang made an effort with his penalty at Wembley back in March, or if we'd beaten just one of Palace or Brighton at home, we'd have done it. That said, it'...

Re: Europa League Final Arsenal v Chavs May 29th
I'd completely overlooked this, but an article on the BBC Sport site just mentioned that the winners of this play in the Super Cup on August 14 too. It's being held in Istanbul, so another long trip for the winners. So there could be a NLD in the Super Cup, but hopefully it'll be Arsenal/Pool over t...

Re: Valencia (A) 09/05 20:00 KO
ffs the doom and gloom is fucking ridiculous here sometimes. Chelsea are nothing special. Frankfurt had speedy forwards that would of given our defence nightmares. Agree with all the above. I only saw extra-time (obvs), but Frankfurt looked a really decent side. Confident, fast paced attacking foot...

Re: other matches this weekend
I know they're not high on our list of priorities these days, but can we please just take a moment to LOL at Bolton for being relegated to the third tier of English football today? Good fucking riddance!

Re: Watford (A) PL 15/04 @ 20:00
I'm surprisingly calm about this one. For some reason, I reckon we'll manage a win here, and even if we don't, a draw wouldn't be an absolute disaster given the current state of the top four. A draw here and a win over Palace, and that would put us above Chelsea (who still have to play Man Utd). Tha...

Re: Toon (H) - 01/04 @ 20:00
Absolute must-win, but I think it might be a struggle. We've got eight league games left, but only three at home, so we absolutely have to win those to stand a chance of top four IMO. I think we'll win by the odd goal, as someone above me said, but as long as we get the three points, that's the main...

Re: Stade Rennais (H) 14/3 20:00
Had we been in the CL this year, and drawn Napoli in the QFs, then it would probably be seen as quite a decent draw. It just feels worse because they're one of the better teams left in the Europa, but I definitely think we're good enough to go through. I'm more interested in winning the final league...

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks
TV coverage seems to be getting worse by the week too. When it's not women being shoe-horned in to the studio to push a political agenda, or those ridiculous 'manager cam' boxes that BT seem to have up across half the screen for ten minutes, Sky now have this 'real life view' from the referee's, or ...
