Re: THE WENGER THREAD

He got things right yesterday. Credit where credit's due. He's found the best midfield finally and Cazorla, Coquelin and Ozil has given us another dimension. Not nearly as reliant on Sanchez as early season. What I hope is that this has rekindled his desire to actually challenge for the major honour...

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

Theo looked like a bloke who knows his last 4 goals have netted him a shiny new contract.
I'm pleased though. He offers us a lot of pace and movement if he can stay fit.

Re: Trophy Parade

not bad for pouring rain on the morning after. There weren't mics on the crowd but got the feeling not too many people knew the words when Ray Parlour tried to get people going with She Wore
Cazorla looked like he had a mega headache

Re: The FA Cup Final: The Arsenal v A.Villa

Tim let us play but think we'd have stuffed a far better side than Villa today. Not just to win, but to play so well - and score from a corner

Enjoy the evening guys. So incredibly happy.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

Jose not on FB then? Carlo is taking a year at least out due to a serious back op. 2017....we can dream. He's also the sort of man that would keep the old duffers like Sir Chips happy. If I met Wenger right now, I'd only have one question (suppress all the angry ones) - why don't you play Rosi...

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

why would Vidal leave Juve? Gets millions a year, is in CL final and they are building something ambitious. I doubt they'll be able to keep Pogba much longer and Pirlo is close to retirement. Khedira is a gamble, as they themselves say. Wish we had Juventus' negotiating team - they identify their ta...

Re: FFP to be abolished !

UEFA finally seeing what FFP really is, which is a way to entrench the power of the mega spending clubs. There's no point having it when they so easily circumvent it. Quite why Wenger et al took it so seriously I'll never know. What's up next - a revoking of the transfer bans by FIFA on Barcelona, (...

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

Lloris will want out. He wants CL football but has to get past Levy. I'd love him in goal for us but it'd mean Wenger having to admit he was wrong not to sign him in the first place (£8m, and he's far too good for them).
I know Wenger won't think it necessary to upgrade our keepers In any case.

Re: HULL AWAY THREAD

really pleased with how we played and the win. Giroud showing Thierry Henry that the latter is right about the kind of striker it takes to win the PL. Hopefully the penny dropped with Wenger, who looks as though he economised yet again - on a decent haircut.

Re: HULL AWAY THREAD

if they can beat Liverpool, they can trouble us especially if we think we just have to turn up or the players have been listening to and believing Theo's rantings about how good we are. They have everything to play for.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

I don't think it's progress until a Wenger team can successfully compete in the CL. We are underperforming Monaco and Juventus. This season I don't see any brilliant sides in the PL although Chelsea were always going to win it - if we don't finish 2nd, we have underachieved. Wenger continues to make...

Re: Burnley away

Hopefully not another wearily familiar, complacent "just turn up to win" performance. Burnley will fight for their PL lives. The new TV deal means PL survival is everything.
I still never know which Arsenal is going to turn up. It'll be much harder than the Liverpool game I think.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

Wenger got lucky with some injuries this season, which forced his hand into playing Cazorla and Coquelin. Frightening to think that Cazorla was benched so that our attacking midfield could be built around Wilshere. With Jack now fit, it might be again. Wenger won't spend big on a keeper. Cech would ...

Re: Barcodes match thread

so we're having to put up with Wenger's latest Great Idea, following his others eg Sanogo and other too many to mention ones. Chambers at RB. The lad has been out of his depth against everyone. Does him and the team no favours. So we clung on for the 3 points despite OGL's inertia, bizarre decisions...
