Re: CoronaVirus Latest

Can anyone make a case as to why a sky installer and someone else who works in insurance are considered “key workers” and therefore made to still go to work ? In the case of the sky installer he’s actually working inside peoples houses - absolute Madness. Lock yourself away, they won’t be happy til...

Re: Citeh (brownholing) A Weds KO 730pm

City were passive today in the derby. The owned the ball for long periods but in reality they were in second gear for the most part. Lots of empty seats at The Etihad on Wednesday. It should be packed there on Wednesday. Probably last chance they will get to see the team this season. Premier League...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Quite simply whether you are for or against either manager you have to give him the same time as Emery was allowed before you can compare the two . The problem is two things here , firstly no-one wanted Arteta so he is being judged more harshly than Emery when he first arrive and secondly he is givi...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

For me indications are that those at the top are potentially building for the future with very little on the rumour mills about established older players. Whilst I can see/understand the need for it it is a dangerous game to play because without improvement in league position and entry into the ECL...

Happy with that line up apart from Socrates at rb ,clearly doesn't rate AML there will mean better cover at set pieces though .

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

I'd imagine something popped up in training that made him decide to change it slightly to accomodate the players that he would be starting with. For me (if that is what happened) that's a huge positive. Wenger and Dick (to a lesser extent) were obsessed with wedging players into a system that many ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Changing the formation after our first win in yonks is the type of thing that emery would have been panned for, and yet nobody mentioned it all  Ludicrous decision imo I'd imagine something popped up in training that made him decide to change it slightly to accomodate the players that he woul...

Re: Bournemouth A 26th Dec

Gob smacked that peeps were expecting a miracle big win against Bournemouth when arteta has literally had 3 days with the squad! I think what we witnessed was a massive increase in intensity, some chances created in open play which we haven't done for ages, some shots all be it woeful finishing and ...

Re: Bournemouth A 26th Dec

Well I saw a lot of positives today , we dominated possession for the first time in ages , we weren’t under the kosh from the word go. We are clearly working harder to regain the ball and defending better (still a long way to go) . What let us down was the final ball , we created some nice opportuni...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

I voted for number two on the premise 4th place is still a trophy lol,Good luck
Mike ,I'm genuinely excited he needs time of course but I think he's gonna shake things up might let a few players dig their own holes first before they are gone .

Re: Who would you like to see as next manager POLL

I was hoping we would appoint Ancelloti as wenkers replacement..... I know he is good, but it sound slike he may have lost his touch (ooo er missus  ) and gone soft. :? Testimonies from players he has developed, pep his character and attitude. Just like what I hear , an old stalwart like Ance...

Re: Who would you like to see as next manager POLL

German football magazine Kicker ran a story claiming that Robben, Ribery, Hummels, Boateng and Müller were particularly unhappy with Ancelotti’s relaxed training sessions and had so organised ‘secret’ high-intensity sessions behind his back. https://t.co/bMKYtsUeJD I read this as well , I get the f...

Hasn’t done well at Napoli or Bayern , is he a spent force , younger coaches overtaken him ? I’m not convinced
