Re: Toffees (H) 23/02 @ 16:30

3rd win in 7 days, 2 clean sheets in the process and still unbeaten in 2020. bloody fantastic. don't underestimate the magnitude of todays victory. everton had 2 weeks to get ready for it but we still managed to get the victory, even after a big game in greece a few days ago that took a lot out of u...

Re: Olympiakos A Thu 20th Feb 8pm

they were unbeaten in 18 and only bayern had won there all season. that really was a fantastic result. 5 clean sheets from 9, 3 clean sheets in a row, when did we ever think we could say that about arsenal football club? yes we've sacrificed some attacking flair for defensive stability but im person...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

we've conceded 0.8 goals per game since arteta arrived. under emery we were conceding around 1.5 goals per game. it's obvious he's focused on improving us defensively. i wanted a manager that would come in and focus on defence and he's doing exactly that. ill be honest i thought it would take an all...

Re: Barcodes H Sun 16th Feb KO 1630

Matteo Guendouzi was left out of the Arsenal squad against Newcastle after a heated row with Mikel Arteta and members of his coaching staff during the club’s winter training camp in Dubai. https://t.co/hOmGFDSdF7 get rid. he's not at the level where he warrants stress and headache. when he first bu...

Re: Barcodes H Sun 16th Feb KO 1630

a good win to keep us unbeaten in 2020. that isn't something to be scoffed at as we were hopeless under previous regimes. arteta has definitely made us harder to beat and having watched us roll over for over a decade it's refreshing to be honest. he hasn't even bought his own players in yet, he's go...

Re: Burnley away Sunday 2PM Feb 2nd

kroenke's LA rams stadium move was costed at £2bn but has gone up to £6bn apparently, was hoping he'd look into selling the club in order to fund that but doesn't look like it. we're his biggest cash cow and most profitable part of his portfolio (i believe), so why would he sell.

Re: Burnley away Sunday 2PM Feb 2nd

Another decent point and this time with a clean sheet. Remarkably only Liverpool have lost fewer games than us now in the league. We have become very hard to beat and that is a real positive from Arteta’s first month in charge. Now for a 2 week break where Arteta can at last spend some time coachin...

Re: Burnley away Sunday 2PM Feb 2nd

not a good performance, that was painful in the second half. we started off well in the first 20 minutes and could have scored a couple of goals but as the game progressed it got worse. in the second half we couldn't get anything decent going but then again, what do you expect from a team with defi...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Perhaps someone at the club does have a brain after all - the injury prone converted winger will be out again soon enough with a twisted ponytail, leaving Maitland Niles to be an absolute walking disaster again. If this boy is capable of actually tackling and has half a defensive brain he'll be an ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

I don't recall being over excited by the signing of Steve Bould and Lee Dixon. They didn't turn out to be too bad. Two sensible signings that the squad needs. Although why do we keep signing injured players? Soares is a Portuguese international, the fact he was at southampton doesn't mean a thing. ...
