Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

The auba contract situation has gone very quiet :rubchin: :anyminute: :asleep_at_work: Whilst I want him to sign too, maybe we are forgetting that he will be with us this season as he has entered into the last year of his contract and may decide his future when the team's future under Arteta is a l...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Now that Mlhitaryean is definitley off the payroll hopefully that frees up a bit more in cash to make that contract offer to Aubamayang by the end of the week. It really wouldn't surprise me if this was a main reason why the contract hasn't been signed yet. Looking at Auba's behaviour in and around ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

In half a season Arteta has accomplished more than Emery did in one and half seasons. Won a cup, followed up with community shield win. Unlike, Lampards Chelsea, solksjaers Utd and mourinho's spurs, he has got two bit of silver. There is less pressure on him to win a cup than the other three. Focus ...

Re: *Red bin dipping filth N Sat 29th Aug KO 430pm

That felt pretty, pretty, pretty good. That first half was brilliant. I expected us to tire and lose in the second half but we showed a character that has been missing for a year. Yes its the community shield and about as important as the Super Cup and World club championship but it is not only who ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Don't think Holding has done anything bad to let him go. I'd keep him and play him in games when we know a team is going to keep crossing the ball. Funny how in the two cup finals he played in we won, yet the two mustafi played in we lost. Holding is a good solid CB and would have him in to support ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Blimey all the fuss over Messi throwing a strop and handing in a transfer request. If I was stan i'd offer £700,000,001 Obviously the £1 is for his mate suarez. He's never going to leave.
However, at 33 years old surely he is too old to be signed up by The Arsenal?

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Signing Gabriel doesn't really excite me as I don't know enough about him, apart from the fact he is Brazillian and his agent is Kia Joorchabian. Ther are too many defenders at the club, more than GG had and I'm sure he once fielded a team with 7 defenders starting as there were no other players av...

Re: Adidas New Kit Sponsor (NSFW)

Passed by the Adidas shop whilst in town to check out the new away top. In reality, its fucking horrendous. It sure as hell does not have a marble effect. The style is loose around the arm and feels more like a baseball shirt than a soccer (sorry football) shirt. I cannot stand the white badge. The ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

He's already achieved a wenger style cup win to salvage a very poor season. It is a good cup win and give these players confidence for next season as they beat teams that finished above them. Arteta does seem to be representing The Arsenal philosophy from our Highbury days and not so much since 2006...

Re: Adidas New Kit Sponsor (NSFW)

So, the away kit is the white top with the red slashes across it. Was hoping they'd go yellow like the warm up kit. Like the travel wear line of clothes launched alongside the away kit. Never heard it called travel wear before, whatever next "going to the shops" wear line, coming with a free mask?

Re: other matches this weekend

I do wonder how British commentators can talk about Bayern Munich coach Hans Flick without making a reference to a character from the '80's sitcom 'Allo 'Allo with a similar name? :hmmthink: I predicted a PSG vs Man City final as i thought it would be inevitable those two will meet in a UCL final. D...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Amongst all the transfer rumours, I don't understand how a transfer can be sanctioned by UEFA, but then not allow the player who has arrived at a new club to be able to play for them because UEFA competitions are still being completed? e.g Saliba and Timo Werner.

Re: Anelka Misunderstood - Netflix Doc

Boring as helll!!!!
It doesn't give an insight into anything much.
Funniest moment was having his penalty saved in UCL final 2008. That's about it.
