Re: Burnley away Sunday 2PM Feb 2nd

Seven points above the relegation zone, seven fucking points. Is there really any point in analysing the game. There's so many weaknesses in the team it would take a novel to cover them. And yet people think this owner can't get us relegated ??? A queue of more ambitious clubs in the Championship a...

Re: other matches this weekend

Anybody watching the tots v City...….It's difficult to imagine VAR could get any more absurd. Brings them back for a penalty after 2 minutes of play had elapsed, they miss the pen (there's a surprise huh), Lloris brings Sterling down from the resulting save, no penalty AND Lloris was off his line f...

Re: Burnley away Sunday 2PM Feb 2nd

Not the best game under arteta. Thought we had the best opportunities to score with both lacazette and auba over complicating the finishing. It took 4 minutes to get eddie on which is why the substitution was made in the 88th minute. Thought we had the better of them and would have won at a canter h...

Re: The 'I told you so' EU referendum - Officially the Worst Thread Ever

Don't understand why there is some partying going on. We're out, and now we can get on with the next stage.

There may be a shortage of olives by the end of February. Other than that, business as usual.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

I don't recall being over excited by the signing of Steve Bould and Lee Dixon. They didn't turn out to be too bad. Two sensible signings that the squad needs. Although why do we keep signing injured players? Soares is a Portuguese international, the fact he was at southampton doesn't mean a thing. M...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Keeping Nketiah for the rest of the season could be a brilliant move, considering lacazette's goals have dried up. He does only have one league win to his name, which is a massive concern to me. The win away at Bournemouth in the cup was a boost. Winning away at a premier league side, Burnley should...

Re: Burnley away Sunday 2PM Feb 2nd

Cellabos to star. His best game this season was against Burnley so see if he can replicate it. Auba to return in this game. When dyche starts rambling on about how easy our players hit the deck,( ahem! torreira), i'd love to hear a reporter point out ashley barnes unashamedly falling to the ground w...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Mari has been confirmed. Welcome to the club. Given our recent pathetic record of January signings, hopefully he'll start reversing that. He looked solid without being spectacular in the 3 Flamengo games I watched this season. Given our season so far defensively, solid but not spectacular is probabl...

Re: Chav ringpieces A Tue 21st KO 815pm

Really not sure what match a few of you lads were watching last night. Xhakatard was utter gash as usual in the middle. When he went into CB he wasn't a total disaster but that's about it tbh. He did a bit of pointing and shouting? He does that most marches. Wooppeedoo. His positioning was po...

Re: OZIL - Merged Thread

I think tonight's game has proven that even after the improvement of effort by ozil under arteta, he (ozil) has run his course in English football. Time for him to move on to Italy. No goals and 1 assist in last 13 games from our main playmaker is just not good enough. I think arteta will continue t...

Re: other matches this weekend

i just want Liverpool to win the league now as soon as possible to get it out of the way. there is just the possibility that they also might then ease up and lose a few matches. ideally they win the league BEFORE they play Manchester City. just had a look at the fixtures and there is a slight chanc...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Got to praise Arteta for his decision making during that match. Didn't rush into making a defensive substitution in the first half. Then made the right changes in the second half. Bringing on holding for pepe to sure up the back was better than the anticipated straight swap of AMN for a tiring belle...

Re: Chav ringpieces A Tue 21st KO 815pm

That was a gutsy performance, one we haven't seen for a few years. Martinelli's goal was brilliant once the ball bounced right for him you just knew he was gonna slot it home, and his pace, he's got that magic pace that just takes him away from players with the ball at his. Xhaka seems to play bette...
