Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Can I say no to both please ? You can but who do you suggest that is available? IF Hertha are willing to pay £20m+ for xhaka NOW, then take that deal first. Contact juve and see which of their centre backs (rugani or the Turkish guy) they are letting go this month, cos they will be either selling o...

Re: Manure (H) New Years Day 8pm

Think we need to give Nelson a chance, he did well in Germany but we know playing in the pl is very different . Many experienced European club players struggle for a season so it’s no surprise if a young player takes a while to adapt It’s a quiet house tonight here :D :D How many times have we beat...

Will eddie be able to play in this one? If so, hat-trick incoming celebrating in front of Bielsa ending with a red card. That's what would happen if wrighty is still mentoring Eddie.

Re: What a shit decade (best/worst) merged thread

Beating Barcelona 2-1 in 2011 the purest highlight. Watching Jack outplay both Iniesta and Xavi was incredible and the future looked bright. Despite several hammerings over the years, 6-0 at Chelski, 5-1 at Anfield, and 4-0 at Southampton, not forgetting the 8-2, the lowest point for me was the 3-0 ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

We seem to be the only club that never benefits from this new manager bounce. Problem with a bounce you tend to land back in the same place you lifted from. I prefer the slow long term impact, rather than the immediate impact.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Had my doubts about Zaha in the summer but he's stepped up a level this season and looks way too good to stay at palace and think he'd fit in well with Arteta's philosophy and style. Honestly, unless a Saudi royal family gives us a cheque in the morning for £500m to spend in this transfer window, I...

Re: What a shit decade (best/worst) merged thread

How can the most expensively acquired squad in Arsenal history produce the worst run of results in over 50 years? It is absolutely mind-blowing at the ineptness that we have witnessed from a very talent group of players. Hopefully, this coming decade will be a massive improvement on the last 10 years.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Well that is a marker of performance for Arteta. Admittedly, against an average Man Utd team but in all honesty apart from city and Liverpool, the rest of the premier league teams are average. Its just we've been well below average for a majority of the season. We could be 5th by the end of January ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

"They informed us that he is not going to continue with us." Eddie Nketiah's loan from Arsenal to Leeds has been cut short. Full story: https://t.co/mCAYErWJSd https://t.co/206Z951KDW Surprised he's not been used more. At the beginning of the season Leeds supporters were raving about Eddie. Think A...

Re: Manure (H) New Years Day 8pm

Probably the best performance I've seen from an Arsenal team since the 2017 Cup final. Players that have let us down in the last 18 months actually looked decent. Auba led from the front. Lacazette worked hard but desperately needs a goal. Pepe looked like he could've roasted Shaw had he had the cou...

Re: other matches this weekend

Anyone else notice, that this "mighty" Liverpool team has resorted to long ball tactics as they find it difficult to break teams down? Mane's goal against wolves for example. Seen it a few times. We should mix it up a lot more than we do. Playing out from the back encourages the opponents to attack ...

Re: The why is there no Chelsea thread thread

Seems to disagree with most if not all on here, but I thought that maitland-niles done very well again yesterday - I say again cos that for me is his second really good game at right full recently. Yesterday I thought that he was solid, aggressive in the tackle, and passed some really good balls do...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

It seems Arteta is going to be demanding a lot from the players. Some will just leave naturally because they don't want to be worked so hard. It'll be interesting to see who those players are. Ozil seems to thrive when more is being demanded from him so he won't walk away, but it'll be interesting t...
