Re: Previous FA Cup Semi Final's

the first one that i have vague memories of would be in I think 1980 where we had about 4 replays i think v Liverpool?

that final was the first I can really remember too - I hate Trevor Brooking :banghead:

Re: Victims FC to win the League, or who else will?

Biggest game of the weekend as far as I'm concerned, and I will be more upset by a Pool win than an Arse defeat.
get your priorities right will you.
who gives a shit about the Pool v City game. meaningless title bollocks.

the race for 7th is on, now thats really where its at :barscarf:

Re: Gooner Wembley mash-up special guests a rugby league tea

no doubt Wenger will put out a team who he thinks are capable of winning like he usually does for these cup comps.
I expect to see a "stronger" team v West Ham. He will be taking that match more seriously.

I imagine his team talk v Wigan will be - just go and play

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.

Be very afraid after his press conference this morning. When pressed on a poor league season he replied on the lines that we lead the league 17 times but only fell away when we lost our players. Asked about a major overhaul in the Summer he replied that we will see where we finish. (not exact words...

Re: Gooner Wembley mash-up special guests a rugby league tea

i am not surprised that the Ox is injured again. Another case of being overplayed.
Wenger has absolutely no idea about squad rotation, it seems to be more a case of play them until they drop and then bring in someone else who has been injured for months.

Re: The Board-Finance-Kroenke

this is similar to what I heard from someone who is friends with an Arsenal shareholder who whilst still pro Wenger is very much anti Kroenke and again from what I have heard is the feeling amongst many shareholders.

Re: What was it like under George Graham?

I think in about 50 years time his era will be looked at more fondly than Wenger's.

GG won 7 trophies over 9 years
AW has won so far 7 trophies over 18 years

I can imagine young Arsenal supporters of the future thinking how the fuck was that Wenger allowed to stay so long :banghead:

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.

it does explain why Sanogo just stands there during matches.

Next to be benched and next out the door. Re: Gooner Wembley mash-up special guests a rugby league tea

I am still haunted by the last time we faced Wigan in a semi final (league cup 2006) we lost in the last minute of extra time and as it was the last time I ever saw a match at Higbury I was gutted by the result. I have never ever forgiven Wigan since then and after Spurs and Chelsea they are my most...
