Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

So whats the verdict on Mikel now, he's winning every way for me. Good, bad, ugly. And he's made mistakes on the way, but got a lot of things right along the way. Walking out of the North Bank last night, the consensus was that he got it right with Raya, and we shouldn't really question his decisio...

Re: other matches this weekend

Really surprised how city lost control of that game. They started as I expected and were ripping the victims to shreds and the inevitable goal came. But they were very sloppy after that, brain dead stuff around the back pissing away possession and they went completely out of the game. If they play ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Bloody hell that’s made me remember between 91 after Ian wright and 95 we made 2 decent signings in 4 years. Boom boom keown and I’ll say Hartson as well because at least we got a decent fee when we sold him. The rest ? Horrible trash like Helder, mcgoldrick and co. 2 decent players in 4 years. Peo...

Re: other matches this weekend

One question. Everton - what’s the fecking point!? That would be my question too - they are merely threading water and have been for years and at this stage I am thinking that relegation might be the kick start they badly need. I look at luton and give them kudo's for the courage they are showing b...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Camavinga isnt regular starter tbf, and even Tchouameni is often played out of position at left back I have long given up on believing in the practices of FFP, but with the impending signing of mbappe, I have to believe that his massive wages will force them into having to sell some players to raise...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Barcelona sniffing around Arteta again. And why wouldn't they. All you need to do is watch Arsenal games to see how well drilled we are. How good we are set up tactically. The prevailing sentiment that Arteta should be sacked and we 'give someone else a go' has to be one of them most self-sabotage ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

I've banged on before about Douglas Luiz at Villa and was pleased when we went after him previously, even though it sadly failed. He'd make a huge difference to us playing in centre mid with Rice, both able to sit deep, but also able to play box to box and score goals. Add Luiz and a proper striker...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Esr has done more in thr very brief minutes he's had with intent and purpose than klive or the Portuguese make a wish kid. Some he hasn't but he's getting 5, 3, 10 minute spells. I'm sure someone with more time can list the minutes he's had. He cane on for about 30ish I think recently and looked pr...

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks

Agree to an extent augie, but having seen one of these in person there is a rather different undercurrent than just peaceful protest against israels reaction (which is completely OTT and simply causing more issues long term and short) i condone neither and the whole region causes most of the world'...

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks

Jewish Gooners apparently felt "unsafe" with one fan asking club stewards to stop what was a peaceful protest and have slated the club cos they were told that the club has no power to intervene when it isnt on their property - fcuk me where do these c.unts get off ? :banghead: https...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Still amazed people want to replace Arteta. And so many are not even deliberate with who they would replace him with and would appear to be happy with anyone. De Zerbi always gets a mention, but look how rubbish Brighton are in defence. They concede chances and goals galore, whereas under Arteta we...

Robbed Chelsea blind. Havertz is finding his feet, while Sterling for them is deciding on a new perm hairstyle.
