Re: Football chants you hate

"Stand up if you hate Tottnum" gets really tiresome after the first one. I don't hate them, I nothing them. I'm not wasting an entire emotion on that bunch of onanists.

Re: FAV ARSENAL MEMORY OF GAME YOU WERE AT

Any number really but probably the last time I stood on the North Bank; we beat the victims 4-0 and Limpar scored one from inside our penalty area (well it was a long way out anyway!). :barscarf:

Re: Another Highbury

I always understood that our fabulous old ground was called "The Arsenal Stadium". It just happened to be in Highbury.

I am prepared to be proved wrong!

Re: Experiences with fans leaving early.

Oh, and I've never left before the end of a game. If I'm paying upwards of 50p a minute to watch a football match, I'll stay to watch them take the goals down and mow the grass!!

Re: Experiences with fans leaving early.

Simply do not understand it Only done it twice, both of them away, Man Utd in the cup in 2008 when we were being tanked 4-0 in the FA Cup...I left 5 minutes before the end to get the earlier train back to London. And Tottenham, also in 2008 in the League Cup Semi Final, again about 5 minutes before...

Blimey, they weren't that pessimistic when they only had two points by October! If it's true that you are what you eat, they must eat an awful lot of assholes.

Re: Jimmy Robertson, who remembers?

Remember him from my earliest days supporting us (1968) but have no real memories of the bloke. Think his goal against the vermin from up the road might have been in a 3-2 home defeat in 69 when we had the 3rd worst keeper ever to disgrace the shirt, Malcom Webster, who thankfully only played a han...

Re: Jimmy Robertson, who remembers?

He had a shot on him that could break the net. He scored one against Charlton in an FA cup tie that probably broke the sound barrier!

Re: Santos

They're both a bit lacking in the "defending" part of their job. The goal we conceded at Anfield is a case in point. Gibbs was our most advanced player and lost the ball in their penalty area. He proceded to stroll back while the scousers worked the ball into the empty postcode that Gibbs ...
