worthing_gooner wrote hopefully his confidence isnt completely shattered Others have written that they are gutted for Theo. Me too. Forget football for a second: this is a young guy whose hopes were raised by Sven, taken to the 2006 World Cup - and didn't get on the pitch. Now once again his hopes h...

We got rid of one Toure who went a bit Gaga so do you really want to take a risk on Yaya? Anyway, these part-exchange players never feel quite right to me. Better take the money (if we have to lose Cesc) - minimum £60m - and build a team from scratch with a new objective of winning in addition to t...

[/b]MK Gould wrote And I don't like the idea of taking players as part of the deal who probably don't want to come here and we may not have wanted in the first place! I totally agree with MK. Much better to get the right market value (maybe £60m for Cesc based on Ronaldo fee) and then pick players ...

The best deal would be for Wenger (or whoever) to buy the goalkeeper, midfield heavyweight and forward to give us a real chance of winning something - which we need anyway - and maybe Cesc would change his mind and stay.

I agree that the Eduardo incident did have a major effect. Whilst we can't turn the clock back it sometimes helps to analyse what happened. I also think that Aaron's injury may have reinforced any belief Cesc may have had that he was next, since basically he Cesc makes the team tick - stop Fabregas ...

Cesc has given us some wonderful moments but he needs proper protection, which he is clearly missing in the Premiership and a fully supportive and talented team to capitalise on his abundant talents. With Barcelona Cesc could achieve the success he deserves. If Cesc must go I wish him the best of lu...

To return to the original question: nothing would appease me. But this was going to happen and it seemed clear to me in his face during the 'lap of appreciation'. And much as we shall all miss Cesc I have to sympathise for two main reasons: 1. As Ed says, how can Cesc continue to play with the untal...

Now that would make a really nice companion plate to the 1961 one! (always assuming they don't win in next season I hope)

Metalheadz Gooner wrote this is such a waste thread! Concentrate on what we're doing, not what the other sides are doing. We're the Arsenal, so fuck all the rest! Right ??? Sorry to disagree but this time - wrong. If the capitulation at Wigan is anything to go by we could easily end with no points f...

MM99 said Lehmann was making just as many mistakes in his last season here, opening game of the season against fulham, and a few more times after that. I'll grant you Fulham (though that was in the first 5 minutes of that season)....and then what? Can you or anyone else who would exchange Jens for t...
