Re: James Alexander Gordon to retire

Can't imagine anyone else reading the footie results ! Earliest memories of going to footie with my Dad including Constable Alex Morgan and the Met Police band, checking the programme to see what match B was at half time when the kids were placing the numbers in the little scoreboard......and liste...

Re: James Alexander Gordon to retire

Good luck to this legend in his retirement. Hopefully his recovery from cancer will be swift.

Certainly Saturday afternoons at five will never be the same again.

Re: Olivier Giroud aka "Le Chapman" - goal target met?

Good return for his first season in English football. Plenty of goals and plenty of assists. Oh and by the way, please remember that before some 'facist' type decided to change the title of this thread, which was completely out of order, the original purpose of this thread was to compare the early p...

Re: Denilson's contract terminated by Arsenal

I really hope that this is true (confirmed by the club).

Denilson is a gutless individual who has summed up everything wrong about Wenger's judgement over recent years.
He is right up there, along with crap like Gervinho, vying for a place in an all time Arsenal crap 11.

Good riddance.

Re: Goodbye AA

The views on this link relating to AA all carry some substance, but I really do not know how Wenger could have managed this guy any worse. The meerkat was brilliant when he came to us, almost single handledly got us into the top 4 after what had been another average season up until then, and then AW...

WARNING: Stats contained within http://www.talksport.co.uk/magazine/features/130507/giroud-better-thierry-henry-and-drogba-how-they-really-compare-197081 Obviously a completely superficial comparison but in broad terms I think this casts doubt on some of the points raised on this thread previously....

Re: Olivier Giroud aka Le Chapman

Who the fuck changed the leader to this topic. Unless dementia kicked in early I did not remember adding the Lee Chapman bit. Is it a case of the moderators changing whatever has been written by others whenever they get the whim? Nice. As for the subject matter. Good first year from Giroud. Plenty o...

Re: The Board-Takeover Rumours-Accounts-Kroenke etc:

I don't understand what Usmanov's game is, he has been sniffing around the club long before Kroenke appeared on the scene. As much as I would like him to put his money where his mouth is, I don't think he will and is quite happy to reap his dividends without the aggro of board membership and even m...

Re: The Board-Takeover Rumours-Accounts-Kroenke etc:

either buy the club and fcuk Stan out or sell up your shares to the w**ker cos for us fans, usmanov holding 30% of shares is serving no purpose and is doing nothing to change the direction of OUR club :x No, no. No way do we want Usmanov to leave and sell his shares to Kroneke. Seriously, everyone ...

Re: Arsenal v Manure

Those booing RVP yesterday need there heads seeing to. They completely miss the point. I thank him for his honesty (and saying what we all thought) when he said I am off the club is going nowhere. Yes, he got a big pay rise but so what. And what a good decision he made. Just won himself a league tit...

Re: ROCKY REMEMBERED

Here, here. Loved Rocky. Played a massive role in the start of our success in the late 80's.

Local lad, plenty of spirit, tenacious, a winner....what was not to like.

Also, as stated above The Spuds fans were brilliant that day. Yes, you should expect no less but they were excellent.

RIP Rocky

Re: Over Rated "Legends" Whose yours?

On the bigger picture I would say that Stevie G is a very over-rated player . I think he fitted a need at a time he was deemed to be World Class by the media. Sorry, but I think that is cobblers. I consider that Steven Gerrard is the greatest player of the EPL era. Not interested he never won a tit...

Re: POLL: Do you want Arsenal to sign Wayne Rooney?

Why in under Jesus Christ would Wayne Rooney want to sign for Arsenal  Take a massive wage cut and play alongside some of the biggest chuckers in the fucking premier league for a manager who is fucking well senile. :banghead: Of course, this is nearer to the truth on any likelihood of us sign...

Re: Steve Bould: Will it work?

I heard this report on Five Live on Monday. I trust David Ornstein on this. Wenger is a :censored: for putting his own interests ahead of that of everyone else. Nasty individual. I wish him the worst. In any other walk of life this would surely be a dismissal offence.. but not at our club apparentl...
