Re: other matches this weekend
So, Arsenal pick up another friendly trophy, this time the Dubai Cup. I know it doesn't mean much proceeding and during 1988/89 season we won both the Makita Tournament, Mercantile Credit League Century cup and beat the French national team, with 11 Englishmen on the pitch, after Bould came on for O...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Can't really think of many players that have been outstanding in this world cup, that make me think that they would be a great addition to our squad. Maybe pushing the boundaries but Rashford looked very useful, as did Hakimi of PSG. None of the Spanish midfielders impressed me like Pedri did at the...

Re: SLAVERY WORLD CUP 2022
No surprise that all the teams that banged on about human rights, and one love armbands are out of the competition. Lloris said it straight from the start about respecting the country's rules. England were there to win a competition, not make political statements. Imagine if England made the final, ...

Re: SLAVERY WORLD CUP 2022
France Vs Argentina final with a bent ref winning it for Mess i and co. I reckon. That was the plan from the very beginning.... I mean you can understand the refs doing as they're told... They don't want to be Flogged in public then Beheaded. Chances of Michael Oliver being the World Cup Final refe...

Re: SLAVERY WORLD CUP 2022
The England squad reminds me of the current Arsenal team. Talented young players only going to get better. Kane will get a lot of stick, my first thought for the 2nd penalty was to give it to someone else, Saka would've been my choice. Apart from that couldn't really say anything about the England p...

Re: SLAVERY WORLD CUP 2022
A bit disappointed that the welsh didn't get it together to get through to the last 16, always like seeing the home nations and Republic of Ireland do well in international competitions, when they qualify that is. USA clearly building to win the 2026 World Cup on home turf and they are putting toge...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
As good as they are Mbappee is a whole different level. Jesus out for 2months now we are proper fucked if we don't sign a striker. Although I watched him a few times in Ligue 1 last season, wasn't overly impressed tbh because the quality of the league isn't good. Last world cup yes, but today again...

Re: SLAVERY WORLD CUP 2022
Watching the Argentina v Australia match got me thinking of goalkeepers who are at the world cup who have been or are at Arsenal Ramsdale Turner Martinez Ryan Szceszney Five of the last 16 teams at this world cup have a goalkeeper who has played for, or is still at the club. Must be some kind of rec...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Saw a ridiculous story linking Mbappe in a swap move to Arsenal with either Saka or Martinelli going the other way plus £86m... would anyone actually consider this a good move?

That was a great finish by Timothy Weah's lad last night against Wales. He'll be in the premier league by next season.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
A striker that did impress me, was Cody Gakpo when we played PSV. Works hard, but plays in the same position as martinelli. He'd be a great addition in January.
