Re: THE WENGER THREAD

My levels of hated and contempt for the man have skyrocketed since 2011 and have increased with every wasted year since. In retrospect the failed Project Youth years of 2008-11 were the time where he had 'earned some time' to rebuild the squad. Sadly, he used the Cashburton debt and the austerity li...

Östersunds FK (H) | Europa League R32 | Thu 22 Feb 20:05

Up next. Will we put them out of their misery and shut down the game, or contrive to throw the tie with a pub side with the League Cup final just three days after? 8) It would feel great to finally progress from a European knockout round for the first time since 2010, even if the next round will be ...

Re: Östersunds FK (A) | Europa League R32 | Thu 15 Feb 18:00

A serviceable win today, with the first half hour making the difference. Reasonable line-up, but for pubbers Iwobi and Niles, finally getting played somewhere near his correct position, in the first eleven. More pubbers filling out the bench as well, so a lot of pressure on the starters to finish th...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

Great tune Bard, sums us right up :barscarf:  Sadly, the media never seem to go all out against The Old Fraud. They almost did when the protests were on last season, it seems to be an open secret among them that TOF has been finished for years now, but given how the club rolls out the red carpe...

Östersunds FK (A) | Europa League R32 | Thu 15 Feb 18:00

Up next. Will we pick up a few useful away goals, or will TOF put out the pub side and we duly bottle it in the cold? 8)

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

The Old Fraud got a bust back in 2007 when be became supreme dictator at the club. Anyway, this old cúnt's deal with the devil continues on. The protest was rained off and we're currently destroying our deadly rivals for the Sixth Place Trophy. All he needs to do is fluke the League Cup at the end o...

Re: Wenger Out protest thread

With the rain, barely 50 people turned up, so we didn't march. Typical. Wasn't as bad as the West Ham no show back in April, but still disappointing. It was nice to see MattyB and a few familiar faces; I have passed the '1886 not 1996' banner onto him. A bunch of us have swapped numbers to bring in ...

Re: The Leavers Thread

After an era of players careers tanking after leaving us, it will be interesting to see how these players will develop, granted that they are largely bang average anyway. They will finally have some decent coaching for once, which can only help them. It will be interesting to hear their implied pers...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

It was still a major turning point though. The players collapsed after that. We should have won the title that season, having all but dismantled the Invincibles side. These repetitive seasons started in 2008, with the dark days of the failed (and unnecessary) Project Youth, the austerity lie and pay...

Re: The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread

Technically it was a decent window for us, but still academic with that French chancer still in charge. Hopefully, this restructuring may force him out at the end of the season, but I won't bank on it.

Re: Defense - head v heart

No organisation or coaching from TOF (who doesn't allow Bould to coach) and absolutely no bottle, leadership or ingenuity from the players themselves. Under TOF, the defence ran itself from 1996-06, thanks to TA6, Keown and Campbell. Then it was every man for himself. I doubt any of the defenders ar...

Re: Will Sanchez/Ozil sign - Poll

I'm surprised that Ozil signed, even if no-one was exactly beating down the door to sign him. Now he's on silly money to play when he wants and perform when he wants.

I'd rather the other bloke stayed, but it's all academic with TOF in charge of this clusterfuck side.

Welcome, Pierre :barscarf:

I wonder which one of Aubameyang or Lacazette will take turns on the wing, as we pass around the opposition penalty area before being caught on the break? :rubchin:

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

I'd like to wish every Gooner a Happy Groundhog Day today :barscarf: 8) We're just a few weeks shy of the 10th anniversary of the Eduardo Incident, which consigned us to a decade of Groundhog Seasons, waking up every morning at 6am to Sonny and Cher's 'I got you babe'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
