Arsène Wenger insists nobody will leave Arsenal during the transfer window.

Speculation about possible coming and goings at Emirates Stadium has been rife since well before the turn of the year but, at the moment, Wenger thinks the equation is a simple one.

“No, nobody will go and at the moment we have not bought anybody so that's quite simple. Sorry to disappoint you,â€

And he says we have a squad of "quality"....

He may be "on alert" in the transfer market but Wenger insists he will not sacrifice his considered approach and settle for second best.

"I believe no matter how much pressure I am under, I always try to be intelligent," said Wenger at his pre-match press conference. "That is much more important for me than to just give in to any pressure.

"I would always like to think that no matter what kind of decision I make, it has to make sense for the Club and for the future of the Club.

"Nothing is missing [from my squad] but you always want to add some quality to what you already have. I am very happy with the quality of the players I have and I believe that at the moment we are a bit short number-wise. If we can add one or two players then we will do it but the squad I have is not lacking quality; we have enough quality.

"[Only exceptional talent will be signed] because we have a squad of quality. You want always to improve that kind of quality."

and while hes at it, he can get rid of eboue, cause nobody would actually pay anything for it anyways. if wengers thinks our current crop of so called talented players, r so damn good, why arnt other clubs lurking aroung trying 2 pry them away?? cause their not arsene. eboue, song, bendtner, and a few others wouldnt improve the stoke or west brom squads, cause their usless, end off.

That said, if we finish this transfer window with out new defensive midfielder and/or centre back then Wenger is mentalist.

He's shit no doubt, but put in a good effort today. Just needs to realise he can't dribble the ball an he might be alright, came on as a decent sub today an put in quite a good performance.
