WEMBLEY INFO

Post by gus ceasar is a legend »

So who has been to the new Wembley?

Just wondered what the place is like. I have never been so don't know whether to try and get a upper or lower tier seat etc.

Also, how easy/hard is it to get a beer inside and what do the robbing fuckers charge?

i went to the very 1st match there, england u21's v italy, and i was sitting at the back of the lower tier and it was a very good view. inside, the queues are massive, i had to queue for about 10-15mins just to get a programme. i never bought any food or drink as it was too expensive

Thanks for that Radford!

I was rather hoping to have a pleasant experience there.

Soulless, surprise surprise, went on a tour there, good to look at when you're in the stands but inside just no soul.

Yeah went to the first game as well (frickin Bentley).

Found it very lifeless, just bricks & plastic but I suppose history needs to be created on the pitch for it to become special.

Not a patch on the Emirates, genuinely.

I live in the area, so a bit of advice for the pre-match: avoid the Wembley central pubs as they'll be rammed and they are crap anyway.

Try Greenford, Ealing, Alperton, Kenton or Sudbury for your pre-match pints.

Looking forward to seeing the place that has since taken away any hope of the Emirates getting a European final.

If it is as bad as what above posters have stated then I shall have to enjoy it more by making sure we beat Chelsea.

Whether we believe it is a decent place I guess depends on whether we have happy memories to draw on when thinkiing of Wembley.

Watching Cesc lifting the tin pot on May might have a good reason to like the place....watching the unbearable in April...may convince us that it is a dump and we hate it like all those Gooners in 1927...
