Are we buying anyone else yes or no?

Are we buying anyone else yes or no?

Post by lowerwest »

Doesnt look like it bearing in mind Arsene's latest comments.Another poor summer in the transfer market.

Light Up Front
Lacking Goals from Midfield
Wide Players not up to it.
African Nations to take its toll.

I for one am not enthused for the new season...not buying in to the suggestion we will be better because 1) TH and his ego have gone 2) The Emirates will be a fortress.3) Young Players are a year older and wiser.

It won't be Anelka though. This from Arsenal.com:

Arsène Wenger has refuted suggestions he is in the race to sign Nicolas Anelka — or any other striker for that matter.

Media reports have linked the Bolton forward with a return to the Club where, at just 18, he established himself as a lethal marksman in the ‘double’ campaign of 1998/99. However, it is appears these are inaccurate.

After the 3-0 win against Geclerbirligi on Thursday, Wenger was asked if there was any truth in the story.

“No,â€

ARGH!

Still say we need another proven striker!

RVP obviously the man!

Adebayor ok but not going to get you 20 goals is he!

Eduardo just out of the Croatian league!

Walcoott never scored a Premiership goal!

Bentdner never played a Premiership game!

Looks so lightweight to me! Even Le Boss says Walcott is not mature enough to play up top!

I'm not all doom & gloom as still time but I agree .. Think we look light up front. Would take 2 injuries at same time to be down to bare bones which for a club like us isn't on really. Throw the African cup in there as well & would agree .We need another striker.

See and even wise old me forgot about that bloody African Cup malarky!

Lets face it.....Eduardo plays wide.....Walcott plays wide at present, thast leaves us three out and out strikers!

At our best we always had the four! Henry, DB10, Kanu and Wiltord!

All four of them had been there and done it too!

Lets just hope Hleb gets 20 this season!

Anyhow on a positive note my Emirates Cup tickets have arrived!!!

I am not sure we need another striker ... but do believe we need a central defender .. even if for cover. Thats where I worry about the most.

Summer Spending

This squad has more holes in it than an emmental cheese. Its Lightweight,Unproven in key areas and lacks goals. I can see that being an issue for next year lack of goals.Oh and drawing with crap teams at home & getting duffed up by Northern slags on our travels.

4th will be a struggle.
