Who would you have...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Who would you have...

at Arsenal on World cup performances alone?

The World Cup has finished, we have seen a lot of excellent players, imagine you hadnt watched any of them previously, who would you sign on their performance at the world cup alone?

I would take a chance of Fucile the Uruguayan full back, can play either side and looked a top players, he plays for Porto, i reckon we would cost around 7 million, he is 25

Perez the Urugayan holding midfielder looked very good, he is 30 and plays for Monaco so wouldnt be expensive at all.

I also liked Mertesacker the Germany centre half, people seem quick to have a go at him but i think he looked decent all the way through the competition, he is only 25 and had 69 caps, he plays for Bremen

Ozil looked excellent, apparantly we have been interested for a while, shame we didnt make a move before the world cup, he is also at bremen

Goalkeeper wise, i liked the look of the Slovenia keeper, looked solid enough, he is 25 and plays for Udinese, also like the dutch keeper Stekelenberg, looks a very good keeper, as does Neuer from Germany, at times.

That Spainish player that came on as sub in the final. He really changed the game and got an assist as well.

Might be able to get him cheap as Barca are financially fucked! :D

I'd been looking at these players myself. Was impressed with Neuer from the start.
Stekelenberg also caught my eye especially as he replaced Van der Saar.
Mertesacker looked confident and tidy.

....I wouldn't want anyone at Arsenal on World Cup performances alone! I'd have Torres and Rooney at Arsenal and both of them were cr*p in South Africa!
