I would hope that Glenn Hoddle has given some humble pie to the starving and homeless. God knows he should have enough of it to share round after last night.
Before the game he insisted that Tottenham were now on a par with Arsenal in terms of their squad. Oh dear, Glenn. Better book yourself in for some therapy with Eileen after that kind of faux pas.
The thing is that he is indicative of the archetypal Spurs fan. All they want to is to beat Arsenal, and to hell with everything else. That's why, when they think they are in a position to do it, they get ideas of such deluded grandeur. Perhaps if they concentrated on the best team in the country as the people to match they might, one day, be better than Arsenal.
Until that day, just keep being mental.
Hoddle shouldn't be hungry today
