Merse was an awesome player. Fantastic. That was a great strike v Man U in '89. Brian Moore was fantastic at the commentary btw.

That goal against Leeds at Highbury when we were 2 nil down at HT remains one of my favourite ever Arsenal goals. Some buzz. I loved the Merse.

My favourite player as a kid and along with Wrighty and Bergkamp and Freddie, he was my all time Arsenal player.

The goal in the CCC Final was great!
