Ali Al-Habsi

If you believe SSN, we're "understood" to be in for him:

As a second/third choice GK, can't think of many better myself.

Szczesny, Al-Habsi, Mannone next season? Yes please.

Surely you jest, there's no way I'd take this guy. Much rather have Fabianski. And before you all try and hate on that, recall the fact he had a great season with us this year up until his injury.

Will be pissed if we end up with him. He's alright, not great. Probably on a par with Fabianski to be honest.

How fucking hard is it though? Stop being a bunch of tight *word censored*, pissing about with cheapo journeymen & sign a top class, proven international keeper ie Stekelenburg. Then we save ourselves the annual comedy goalkeeping merry go round & all this nonsense between the sticks would be sorted for a decade or so.

His Brother Aba Dabadat was also originally arrested but has just been released.

Question is, do we want Szczesny as number 1 or a big name to be brought in for next season (not that it will happen).

IMO get rid of Almunia and bring in Habsi as #2 keeper.

Szczesny is a decent keeper, but by no means perfect. He's still prone to the odd error, needs to work on his distribution & as seen in the CC final needs to learn to command his area a bit better. If nothing were to change & we retain the current goalkeeping crop, i'd have Szczesny as number 1. However I think he needs a few years to learn the trade from a seasoned pro. Stekelenburg & Szczesny as numbers one & two is my preferred choice.

Well 2 out of 3 ain't bad. I can't believe you'd still want to retain him though....every bit as substandard as Flapper and Almunia
