Danny Fiszman passes away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

R.I.P
Young age to die these days.
He did a lot for us to build the new stadium.
Some say he did not spend enough on players, but what proof is there of that?
None.
He was happy to authorise a lot of spending before the new stadium, Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg were all bought when he was largest shareholder.

RIP Danny. My thoughts are with his family.

This does explain the share sale and it's timing.

Does open the way back for David Dein ?

I hope so.

Apparently he was a profiteer, built up the share price for his own benefit so he could take advantage of his ill gotten gains in the last couple of days of his life, along with the £150m he already had in the bank...

Sad news. Opinions were sometimes divided on the guy, but it's sad to see any Gooner pass away, especially at what was essentially at pretty young age...

RIP

RIP.

great loss for the club he was a massive contributing factor to us becoming just an average member of the big 5 in the early 90's to one of the biggest clubs in the world now. it was not his fault we have declined.

once again rip a true arsenal man.

Can we just let the man rest in peace here?

There is plenty of time for the other stuff later. This just in not the time or place...

FISZMAN

Bergkamp - Genius - comment of an idiot.

I understand DF actually transferred his shares into a beneficial trust last week so that the deal would go through once all the negotiations had been finalised even if after his death rather than have further complications and delays.

He made his money in diamonds and chose to invest in Arsenal both his time and money- no one forced him to and he could have lost money- plenty do in football clubs.

His big disagreement with Dein was around his belief in the new stadium when in fact this is the one area where Dein was wrong - he wanted Wembley and never approved of the Emirates.

DF will go down as part of our history and was a Gooner through and through so only deserves respect- only wankers will slag him off at this particular time

Laughable isn't it... the guys been relentlessly tarring Fizsman for the last year in every post in every thread and spent the last few days glorying in the thought all his drivel was true...
I suppose it's never the time or the place to shatter his illusions...

The share price rose because others wanted to buy shares.
Fiszman authorised largest transfer fees club has ever spent!

Being rich is not a crime.

Next time you complain about the new stadium remember that because of Fiszman over 20,000 more fans get to see us every game than in Highbury.
