Danny Fiszman passes away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So shocked to have just heard. Danny and his family must have known to have sold his shares this week.

RIP Danny.

RIP to a gooner

That explains the timing of the sale to Stan. Poor fella must have been getting his affairs in order.

The saddest thing is he could have come out long ago and told everyone he was dying and was going to pass the mantle on to someone he trusted to do a good job...
Yet in his need for privacy and not wanting to act the martyr he allowed himself to continue to be passed off as the bad guy by some... :(

Lets hope he gets a good send off at the Liverpool game....he deserves it..

His illness was reported in the Evening Standard last year.

He got criticised by bloggers for not attending an AGM but it appears he was in a cancer clinic in Switzerland at the time.

He set up a share holding company a few months ago which was reported in the press, so it looked bad then but outside of his family the world had no idea he was so close to death until blogs mentioned it earlier this week.
