We won the league at Anfield

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Basil

I am actually happy something in our club is working. Some may abhor women in football, but at least these ladies play with pride, passion and with a real desire to win trophies.

Good for them and may the success continue

Seriously, well done ladies and it must be awful for them that their acheivement is overshadowed by the worst day in the club's modern day history!

Should have played Faye White at Old Trafford yesterday.

Christ, that is one huge fucking dildo!

Seriously though, fair play to them. Arsenal invested time, energy & money into lesbi... er, women's football when other clubs didn't and lo & behold its paid off with success. Who'd have thunk it!

The Club invest money in the Ladies - are you sure?

The Ladies are paid a pittance compared to the men, they still have to work as well as play football to earn a salary to live on.

The Academy girls are responsible for selling programmes etc at the games and the players only get a couple of shirts to last them the season rather than the men who throw them into the crowd after every match!

This is commonplace for all Ladies teams, Arsenal do support their Ladies and a lot of time and commitment is invested into the team and the Academy girls.

Its only with the profile of womens football being raised (not easy with all you dinosaurs  ) that things will change and they will get the recognition and reward they deserve.

All things being relative I thought they had compared to other clubs. :? Rather than compared to the men's game.

Were they not one of the 1st "pro" women's teams? Either way, how did they get Luka Modric to pose with the trophy? :?

What I am trying to say is that there isnt much money invested in the womens game at all, not just AFC.

And I am comparing the womens to the mens - why not?
