Bad Luck or No Luck at All?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just published, giving a little statistical evidence towards UEFA's very favourable draws in European competitions.

Something tells me it isn't fixed - I just believe it is a matter of sheer bad luck. If it was a fix and somebody found out the ramifications for UEFA would be incalculable. Pls believe me however when I say that I do honestly hate UEFA, they are stuffed full of self-interest and have their head stuffed so far up their own backside it can't go any further.

Interesting post have to say though,
Michel Platini who makes absolutely nonsensical comments akin to ‘racism is part of the game, have a handshake and get on with it’ and has unchecked power.
That was actually Sepp Blatter at FIFA

great so we're turning into chelsea fans.

UEFA out to get us???

Maybe they hate milan and napoli, after all im sure they would have preferred to play APOEL or Leverkusen instead of Arsenal and Chelsea

Very hard to prove bias against or for a team.

But if someone can prove it, I would be fascinated.

Read the Barca' myth post!

UEFA also uses Barcelona as their headliner in the draw involving 16 teams total (see: "Barcelona handed Leverkusen tie")

It's pretty hard to convince people that there might be bias, and that I'm not just being a poor sport, but the more UEFA I watch the more it seems like they just love Barcelona. It's especially damning, to me, that a professional opposition manager (Mourinho) would make similar observations.

Anyway thanks for reading everyone, very successful article, smashed my "record views" for a single article. Appreciate the support and/or feedback, everyone :barscarf:

why was Van Persie sent off then?

we would have won if he had stayed on the pitch.

He was sent off for a second yellow. It was a harsh and incorrect decision but it happens. His staying on would not have guaranteed us a win. They were a far superior team and could open up our defence at will.
