THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What - you mean the mild booing once every 2 years and 5,000 empty seats in CL games when the tickets were already paid for haven't made the club sit up and take notice ?

I anticipate his return around the same time as the Boreathon League last 16 stage !

OK final warning, I'm going to start giving temporary bans for those wishing death on Wenger. I hate the man with a passion but I would not wish death or illness on him.

Absolutely chippy - if you guys were to actually start a collection to hire a Colombian hit-man then you might gain some respect around here, cos otherwise it is all just cheap trash talk    :barscarf: (chippy, clearly that is just taking the piss in case you think about banning me  )

For all of about 30 seconds he looked like a really passionate bloke who was desperate to win, just wanted to fucking beat the other team. Thankfully he'd forgotten that sort of nonsense by full-time and in response to the first interview question (Thoughts on the game?) responded that Chelsea won because of their "financial power" and using it to buy players that make a difference like Costa and Hazard. It's bordering on childish. Last time I looked it wasn't Roman Abramovich who won and scored the penalty and it wasn't bank notes raining from the sky distracting Koscielny to let Costa in for the second. Then again we are such paupers that we can afford to chuck over £5m a year at Podolski to scratch his bollocks and pay Average Joe in charge £150,000 a week.

He's got his readymade excuses that justify all but the most severe dickings against these sides. If somebody asked him at the end of August whether our side was good enough to compete for the title he would without doubt have said yes. But when we fall short again of course we never had a chance (and obviously were never good enough).

How anybody can watch that game and listen to him afterwards and think that he is ever going to change is beyond me. Listening to people defending him to the hilt and ignoring all contrary evidence makes me feel like Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. He is beyond obsessed with fucking finances, he isn't getting paid ridiculous money because he did an undergrad degree in Economics forty years ago and Clough and Ferguson didn't achieve phenomenal success because they could read a balance sheet. The only way he is going is being carried out in a coffin or a straitjacket.

Should have been one of the biggest legends in Arsenal history, but despite unbelievable achievements and bringing great joy this will be his legacy.

Very much against if that is the question... May 18th 7.00pm FA Cup under his arm, saying goodbye to the players and fans..it would have made perfect sense... Why the fuck didn't it happen ? Every time I watch Arsenal play I suffer so much with that man in charge.

Haven't listen to a word the c.unt says when interviewed for years - I'm way past the point of actions speaking louder than words but all this c.unt go do is talk big when the reality is that he is now a serial loser who has no shame
