Like how straight after the Besiktas game all media outlets were hounding him about signing a striker?
Hounding him? Arsenal don't have a recognised 'proper' striker other than Giroud, why wouldn't ANYONE with an ounce of football knowledge be asking the question.....'Are you going to sign a striker'. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Jesus Christ, it's like some weird cult for some people who think the sun shines out the senile duffers arse every minute of the year, I seriously fucking worry for you in later life!!

Wenger brazenly admitted in an interview/press conference that he doesn't take any notice of the opposition when deciding how to set his team up. One of the most shocking admissions by a top-flight manager in history. Yet it was ignored, even in the face of a few absolute hammerings thanks to tactical horror shows last season.

Could you imagine if Dai Moyes had come out last season and said the same? He'd have been castigated and ridiculed.

If ever a statement/quote from Wenger painted a picture of his arrogance and indefeatable ego this was it. All probably forgivable whilst being able to dine out on the banquet of the beautiful game we once played with players who allowed him to fulfill that concept but with glaring limitations in the squad over the last few years, that arrogance borders on incompetence when you consider that he's been found out tactically by most opposition managers especially the new breed of tactically astute. I suppose he has managed to get away with it on the back of his early reign and what we brought to our game and to the league itself. Don't forget as much as his managerial stock has fallen over the last nine years or so, back in the mists of time he was the man who was considered the "greatest league manager" (Or whatever Sky said at the time) and who kept ol' Red nose some what in his place. Ex agent Moyes on the other hand unfortunately for him had no privilege of 'been there ......done that ' to fall back upon when the going got tough, a largely unproven risk that hilariously as the season unfolded proved that out. In between all his mutterings and bumbling excuses, he might aswell have said some thing of the like as could he have been more ridiculed any more than he was at the end of the season.........well maybe if he was placed naked in stocks outside OT and people queued up to throw freshly laid Giggs feces and Van Gowl (copyright 2014 DB10 8) ) ripping the 'Chosen one' banner up to cover his modesty!

Sky Sports just showed a list of managers that had the best win rate in the first 100 games and there, sitting in 4th place, is the most successful manager The Arsenal have ever had......step forward Mr George Graham 8) :barscarf:

The media needs to start holding Wenger to account for the mismanagement of this team.

- most expensive player out of position
- an unknown as first choice striker
- no variation in formation / tactics

Have a feeling this year might be the one we lose out on 4th. But even then it will be twisted to view the 17 consecutive years as some kind of achievement we should be proud of.

I see Wiggy was there today. After someone explained the rules to him I hope he enjoyed watching his 'investment' produce such a glorious display of entertainment against the Leicester Foxes, overseen by our Dear Leader

so, 5 points from our first three games, sitting in 7th and coming up City, unbeaten villa away, sperms and then chavs away.

i think we'll be lucky to pick 4 points up from that lot - i think 7/8th still.

and to be fair, based on our performances we should probably be even lower than we are.

Of our 5 matches so far, we haven't even put in s decent performance yet, it could (and maybe should) have been much worse in terms of CL qualification and league position.

Same shit. different season - 3 more years :barscarf:

No doubt it will be something along the lines of - "we're competing with Europe's best for the 18th consecutive year... the Europa League presents a new challenge".... cue a 3% ticket price increase :barscarf:
