Canaries V (what proved to be) the Arsenal light-weights

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Some getting arrogant on here. I don't think we'll batter them or anything to be honest. Expect it to be a close game with us nicking it by one goal. After two hidings in their last two league games, they will go back to basics and defend for the lives, making it difficult for us to break them down.

I agree. but we thought the same about both after Southampton.

4 goals in the game is still a good bet - could be 3-1 or 4-2

Never really confident for any away game but Norwich are shite. Plus last year they just set up really poorly at home and let the bigger teams boss the games, letting them play football and even trying to play it out of defence themselves.

I hardly know any of Norwich's team TBH, guessing not many of them will be called away for international duty
I do remember Russell Martin clearing about 7 off the line last season

Do they still have Jeremy Goss, Ian Crook and Ruel Fox in midfield? :?

They've just taken a leaf out of Arsene's book & re-signed Robert Fleck on a 3-month loan deal. Andy Townsend was due to rejoin as well but unfortunately locked himself in his tactics truck & drowned in a pool of his own verbal diarreah.

Robert Fleck forgot about him

re: Jeremy Goss. He is a canary that does have a claim to fame. See his goal against Bayern in the UEFA cup.

At least our best player gets a nice rest. Amazing stats from Mikel.

thanks for the link Rohan, had not seen that
Arteta's stats are awesome - strange he still hasn't had a chance for Spain
now that Senna isn't an option who else plays there except Bousquests and Alonso?

feel I should be worried now about Norwich, whenever we're all over confident and predict an easy win Arsenal conspire to muck it up...
but Norwich are proper rubbish

That run Norwich had in the UEFA Cup was fantastic. I think they were the first English team to win away at Bayern Munich, and then nearly knocked Inter Milan out as well. 8)
