Bradford away travel

Post by SWLGooner »

Mods, allow this one to stay up as it's about travel and that not a match thread? 8)

How's everyone getting to Bradford away? I finish at 12 on the Tuesday so getting up shouldn't be too hard, either jump on the train for £14 or get a lift from London, but getting back is impossible.

At the moment I'm looking at staying at the ETAP in Leeds and then getting the 5.05am train back as I can't take Wednesday off, gets into King's Cross at 7.31 which is fine. £46 return with a railcard is not great though.

Anyone else reckon it would be good if the club put on a train? Allow people to get back to London the same night and would probably be cheaper too. They did for the Cup replay at Elland Road a few years back.

If you do want the club to put a train on, drop them a quick line at [email protected] , the more people that do, the more likely they are to put one on. :barscarf:

Getting the train from Manchester, back same day (no extra time hopefully). The club should put on a train yes, that's the least they could do, when was the last time they did it?

Leeds Cup replay.

What train is that from Manchester? Can it be done with the usual anytime single to Stockport?

I mean you could get to Manchester and then you'd have to pay the fare to Bradford on top of that (£10.90 cheapest single I found, return must be £11, without railcard)

I meant after the game mate. Before the game is easy, £13 direct from Kings X

Looks like it's £9 quid a head in the ETAP for the night and the early train 8)

Does the Travel club run anything anymore or do they just do it for lucrative away trips ?
