Sharp. We have lost too many games here in recent years (3 defeats in last 6) and if we play anything like the last two games we can probably go ahead and add this one to the list. Particularly as this is the point in the season where we like to try and play like twats and fuck everything up.

Now we are at the sharp end of the season, the lack of any 'banner' signing is really starting to show. I don't want to turn a match thread into yet another anti-Wenger whinge but agaibst Everton we showed that we are no better than them. Two very well matched teams. No Henry 14 to unlock the door, that's just where we are right now, on a par with Everton.

That is why I fear the worst against the cottagers, Berba will cast a long shaddow. Draw would now be a good result.

We will win this one. It's just the way it is.
It will set us up for the seven points we require to qualify for the CL again.

We shall finish 24-25 points behind the PL champions.
We shall sell 1 or 2 players this summer and buy some more dross.

All summer we will be linked to the some great players, who want to play in the PL.
People will renew their season tickets.

Our challenge for next seasons PL will be over before December, as per usual.

We all know the rest, because it's happened ad fucking infinitum, and it will continue to do so because we are a business now.

Fuck, this is boring.

I'm travelling from Bahrain to watch this game (plus United the week after). I'm going for a 1-2 win.

I think most on here agree that Cazorla should be in the middle where he was ripping teams apart earlier in the season, and I know that everybody agrees Podolski should start up top.

In reality we'll probably be unchanged from last night.

Agreed, we should be playing either Cazorla or Rosicky in the hole.

Honestly speaking, I'm not too sure the 4-2-3-1 formation works for our current personnel. Giroud can't lead the line on his own; I think he'd be best suited playing along with another striker, preferrably. I like what Conte is doing at Juve with his 3-5-1-1 formation, but you need a destroyer in the middle to shield the back 3 for that formation to be effective.
