BOULDY THE NEW PAT RICE??

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

R5Live source confirms that Wenger has been stopping Bould from working on defensive drills

Arsenal do study their opponents on DVD/video but not a great emphasis on tactics" - @bbcsport_david

20 - Arsenal have made more 'last man' tackles than any other team in the Premier League this season. Brinksmanship

Just said on @bbc5live that Wenger stopped Bould from doing defensive coaching because he didn't like the attention Bould was getting!

Steve Bould is 'no longer being given the influence he wants' during #afc training sessions, according to @bbcsport_david

Wenger picks Gazidis, overpays him so he sits on his fat salary and says nothing while Wenger persues his failed socialist youth policy and general ineptitude.

Wenger picks mediocre players, overpays them so they sit on their fat salaries and say nothing while Wenger persues his failed socialist youth policy and general ineptitude.

If Bould has anything about him he'd resign.

Too right. This is no way to treat a legend of the club and may also explain why no other recent player has wanted to work at Arsenal.

Not a recent player but Pat Rice collected his paycheque for years while quietly watching Wenger destroy us.

I do think Bould will walk this summer, maybe next at the very latest. At least I hope he does, a legend who deserves better and will be an asset to any club that fully utilises his knowledge of the defensive game...

Granted but pat rice was only seeing out time until his time and was losing nothing by sitting there like a lapdog - bouldie is meant to be a coach on the rise and his rep is going to take a severe hammering if he continues to sit there and be associated with this shambles especially considering his defensive background

Without being rude I did tell you all this a long time a go and have even updated you on the matter .
The club do no defensive training whatsoever ,apart from purely fitness work they play endless games of keep ball.
They do look at vids of the other teams but the style of play never varies as Wenger thinks possession sats are all important.
They practice some free kicks for attack purposes but ONLY for direct shots on goal ,otherwise its pass and run .
Bould will leave by mutual agreement at the end of the season or may even be sacrificed earlier if we really go to shit from here in .
When he moves by mutual agreement he will be paid off handsomely and he will not critisise the Lord Wenger because there will be a gagging order on the settlement terms .

I can add that someone very close to the squad has told me that the majority of training is short passing work.

Hope that bit of ITK information does not upset DB10Gooner too much :D

We used to have open training sessions pre-season, I went to two at the stadium.
The players did a long warm up, the over 21's then did core strength training whilst the under 21's a more aerobic style series of exercises, and all then played a game of football with three teams on the pitch at once.
One defending each goal, another in the middle of the pitch attempting to win possession.

I heard this report on Five Live on Monday.

I trust David Ornstein on this. Wenger is a :censored: for putting his own interests ahead of that of everyone else.
Nasty individual. I wish him the worst.

In any other walk of life this would surely be a dismissal offence.. but not at our club apparently.
