Coventry Home (FA Cup 4th Round)
Moved to the evening of Friday 1/24 thanks to BT Sport. Ludicrous.

Friday night game? Quite looking forward to that!
No idea how they expect the Coventry fans to come and fill a 15% allocation though. As usual money talks.

what a fucking brilliant idea
leave work, few beers, easy win and then the whole weekend to take in the other games knowing we will be in the draw. sounds good to me

A bit less brilliant for those further afield.Gunner Rob wrote:what a fucking brilliant idea

Re: Coventry Home (FA Cup 4th Round)
Very few Coventry fans are going to their home games at the moment as a protest, given that they are being played at Sixfields...despite being offered the use of the Ricoh Arena for free!!
Which means that they enjoy fantastic away support. They took something like 7000 to MK Dons the other week, so think they'll have no problem shifting 9000 at the Grove. And given the form they are in will also be looking for revenge for the 6-1 League Cup defeat!

Unfortunately was only 15months old on 26/5/89!
Re: Coventry Home (FA Cup 4th Round)
I think the 5-0 vs Leeds in the invincible season was on a Friday
Re: Coventry Home (FA Cup 4th Round)
Just goes to show that despite ITV and BT going on about the magic of the cup they will only show the games involving the big teams even if its this apparent mismatch.
Re: Coventry Home (FA Cup 4th Round)
Wow - Cant remember a Friday kickoff for us or any other Premier/1st division side since that night in 89. Brain cells definitely been hit hard over the last 20 years.M3Gooner wrote:I think the 5-0 vs Leeds in the invincible season was on a Friday

Surprised they picked it up as 90% likely to be complete walkover borefest but guess their hands were tied by shit draw.
Remember the 5-0 thrashing of Leeds in 2004, certainly a bit different having Friday night kick-off but atmosphere was good and frees up the weekend.
