The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Benzema to us anyone? :? :blah:

From BBC Website;
Transfer latest - Hernandez to Real?
In what could be one of the more surprising moves of Deadline Day, Manchester United and Real Madrid have discussed a potential loan deal for Javier Hernandez.

Hernandez joined the club from Guadalajara in 2010 and featured in two Premier League-title winning squads.

Juventus and Valencia have previously lodged bids for the Mexico striker.

Benzema has recently signed a new 5 year deal at Madrid, so forget that one

Centre Back? Did you not have your heart in your mouth when Kos went off?
Deffo centre back too also left back but reality is he won't buy 4 players let alone the 2 minimum, I'm starting to feel like if we was back at highbury I'd be exchanging my clock end ticket for an east stand ticket

Wenger is so stubborn that despite losing a less than world class yet best of the rest option Giroud , he will refuse to buy a striker because he hates the media and fans telling him where he needs to strengthen. The bloke is a fucking liability, any other board would force his hand but no not ours, we have Sanogo and he is young, French & black, no doubt filling more than just the hole we have upfront, so Wengers wife loves him. Wenger unfortunately is untouchable despite being a clueless *word censored* in the transfer market :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

You obviously believe in fairy tales, you would have to be delusional to think we are trying to sign a £55m plus striker when we quibble over £8m for Manolas and are trying to get Carvalho for much less than his release clause.

I'd rather waste 8m than break the bank again ala Ozil :banghead:

its academic whoever we sign. no tactics same formation undermines everything.

if we sign a quality dm and striker i will be delighted. but if we had any intention of surely we would have done so. if we do why now?

3 more years. nothing will change.

Sanchez and Falcao were teammates at River Plate. Maybe he can put in a good word for us.

He's also sponsored by Puma, if that means anything.

The only thing Sanchez will be saying to Falcao would be save yourself, don't come here.

If Falcao does by some miracle end up at us, I can't see him getting in the side over Sanohopeofagoalgo.
