Just seen him interviewed on Italian TV where he is currently 'managing' an all-star team (of old players) in a charity match. When asked how difficult it was to pick a squad for this match he said: 'It was very difficult. Fucking hilarious, we aren't even being linked with anyone not even Danny fucking Wellbeck, who I would actually take right now to save us from another Sanogo circus show.
We had a transfer deadline day just like this a few seasons ago. That also came on the back of similar ramblings from Wenker about possibly doing some last day business.
The man is a complete unadulterated lying fucking bastard.

Apparently they were happy with the cash offer but rejected the deal as it would have meant taking a hit on their reputation for signing good players. :oops:
