Lets all laugh at the Mousers
Re: Lets all laugh at the Mousers
We might not be laughing at them this season, Balotelli is a quality signing imo

Not keen on us signing him but good move for them I think

Interested to know your logic on not being keen on a player yet thinking he'll do well at one of our main challengers?northbank123 wrote:Not keen on us signing him but good move for them I think

Personally I think the jury's out as to whether he is quality signing or a comedy signing.goonersid wrote:We might not be laughing at them this season, Balotelli is a quality signing imo

Yeh, nearly as comedic as starting the season with postie leading the lineSimon wrote:Personally I think the jury's out as to whether he is quality signing or a comedy signing.goonersid wrote:We might not be laughing at them this season, Balotelli is a quality signing imo

For all his failings and although he wouldn't be my first choice beggars can't be choosers and he would certainly improve our first 11 IMHO

The issue with Balotelli is he's a problem child, he's to susceptible to starting indoor fires and wants to be the Alpha-male. I hope he causes them more problems than the cannibal!

Yeah but he also fills your car up for free
Re: Lets all laugh at the Mousers
He may well do and lets hope so but it's the problems he causes opposing defences that concerns me. Come on guys, he may be more difficult than most but i'd take him in a heartbeat over what we have now.North-Bank-1987 wrote:The issue with Balotelli is he's a problem child, he's to susceptible to starting indoor fires and wants to be the Alpha-male. I agree chap, I wouldn't say no to him either but would certainly have my reservations on his off-field BS. Then again Giroud could bang as many girls as wants every night of the week if he score a hat-trick every game!WE8SPURS wrote:He may well do and lets hope so but it's the problems he causes opposing defences that concerns me. Re: Lets all laugh at the Mousers
This did need more explaining but was posting on my phone from work, not trying to be mysterious Combination of a few reasons really.gp543 wrote:Interested to know your logic on not being keen on a player yet thinking he'll do well at one of our main challengers?northbank123 wrote:Not keen on us signing him but good move for them I think
1) Tactically. Balotelli playing on his own up front for us? I wouldn't back him to last a single game before he loses his head at being isolated and asked to do so much donkey work, he'll be charging all over the pitch like a lunatic and losing his head. Whilst a bit more liveliness up top certainly wouldn't go amiss, we definitely don't want to lose the one outlet/option we do have there. Quite often playing up front for us is a bit of a thankless task, can't see him doing it. Liverpool are more fluid and flexible when it comes to the role he'd be employed him, which imo would get more out of him and help keep his head screwed on. They would also make him main man and pander to his attitude, Wenger clearly likes Giroud and can you imagine if Balotelli was left out for Sanogo?
2) Squad harmony. Whilst Wenger's socialist republic has many drawbacks, we do seem to have a good togetherness and team spirit, and sadly a fragile mental state. Not exactly crying out for a disruptive, divisive attention-seeking figure. Liverpool on the other hand are desperately lacking that X factor, and teams pretty soon will stop fearing them like last year. They've also got a vacancy for a "giant twat" and joking aside he would right in with the victim culture.
3) Transfer policy. We sign Balotelli and it's the last striker we'll see for years. If it goes tits up, as I expect it would, Wenger goes right back into his negative shell. For Liverpool, At £16m he is just over 20% of Suarez's transfer fee and if he doesn't work out he's a cheaper gamble than the likes of Henderson, Carroll, Lallana, etc.
Re: Lets all laugh at the Mousers
Fuck me i'd let him ride the hole off the missus for a three goal return per game......would negate the need for me to go there, win winNorth-Bank-1987 wrote:I agree chap, I wouldn't say no to him either but would certainly have my reservations on his off-field BS.
