Justifying a particular price is a fool's errand, but he's scored 23 and made 21 goals in the last two seasons, playing for a middling team.
I think he'll certainly contribute more than Carroll, Balotelli, Lovrens, Allen, Lambert, Moreno, Markovic, Aspas, Sakho, Ilori.
Having said that the tactical genius and footballing philosopher will probably play him at centre back.
