Q.P.R. (Away) Match Thread

Post by QuartzGooner »

Like to see Sanchez rested, he has not been on top form since January.

Coquelin a doubt?

Guess we will see Chambers and Rosicky in the middle.

How about Cazorla number 10 with Welbeck and Walcott wide, save The Ox for Old Trafford?

After today's performance I hope Gabriel keeps his place.

A tricky old game this one. March normally the time when the bottom clubs spring to life and QPR have done pretty well at home all year. Hopefully Zamora isn't playing because he always gives our lightweights a bit of a bashing.

Think we'll just about do enough and win 1-0. The quest for the 3rd place trophy continues

Coquelin should surely be fine. He didn't come off because of the severity of the injury; the second bang on the nose just caused it to bleed again. If they can't sort that by Wednesday then fucking hell, our medical staff really are useless :o

Same 11 again please.

Also, I don't get why people keep calling for Sanchez to be rested. I could understand it earlier in the season, but not now... he hasn't played that frequently this year - it's March and other than 2 midweek games, we've been playing once a week all year. He needs to playing himself back into form, not kicking his heals at home because his form is poor.

Anyway, QPR are a decent home team. They'd lost every away game until recently, yet are outside the bottom 3 so it won't be easy. Full strength team required.

First time I've said this but I'd like Ozil to be dropped for this game. This faux rebirth after his injury has been exposed and as Wenger is clearly going to continue using him in the same manner I wouldn't bother playing him away from home.

QPR have had 10 days rest for this, whereas we've played two games in that period.

2-1 to them

Like to see Walcott on the right, welbeck on the left, sanchez through the middle, their CB's are slow, Ozil in behind. A defensive solid midfield two Coq if fit and Chambers. Rest Carzola and Giroud. A draw wouldn't surprise me but a win would be excellent as we normally come unstuck at loftus road.

No way will he leave after just one season. Just doesn't happen with major transfers - two years minimum.

Anyway. Keep Paulista in and start Rosicky, Ramsey is back in training but this will probably be too soon for him - hopefully Coquelin is able to play otherwise we're stuck with Flamini.

I would go with

Monreal
Paulista
Koscielny
Bellerin
Coquelin
Cazorla
Ozil
Rosicky
Walcott
Giroud

I am actually beginning to worry that he could become another "6 month wonder"

he is suffering from burnout like Ozil did at this stage last season
Wenger has no idea how to manage players, he just plays them until they get injured

Mourinho is right - we should be doing a lot better than we are with the players at our disposal.
I also suspect he is a little frustrated because there is really no competition to Chelsea anymore.
Look back at when he first started at Chelsea and those epic battles 2004/05. they were great days looking back.
When you think how bad we are now and yet we are 3rd in the league!!

Sanchez is a bonafide world class player, that much is clear. Form and class, my friend.

I know wenger won't coz he's a fuckin' idiot but...the team should be along the lines of:

......................Ospina

Bellerin......Paulista.....Koscielny....Monreal

The Ox......Chambers.......Rosicky

Walcott...........Carzola

...........Giroud

Just keep Gibbs and Welbeck away from the starting line-up they are awful.
