Abou Diaby - Injuries Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hmm... has Abou ever been fit for a season? :?

Speaking of Abou-the-great... when is his testimonial?
January 2016 my friend.....less than 2 years to wait. His contract runs till June 2015, so when he rises from the bench next season and There's Only One offers him a new deal, we'll all be able to celebrate that day
They won't risk losing him. He'll be offered a new contract then so after, he'll twist his spine as he leaves Highbury House

To which Wenger will say "arr, we couldn't have predicted this... we will honour his new contract" :cussing:
I'll be hiring Hyde Park to host the mother of all BBQs when Abou's new deal gets signed :barscarf:

It would just be typical that this waste of cunting space to be fit for the world cup, be fit, play fairly well then be injured again for the following season.... they should have shot the wanker and put him out of his misery!! :banghead: :banghead:

But Wenger could be boosted by the return of French midfielder Abou Diaby, out for a year with a cruciate ligament injury, before the end of the season.

Good luck to the lad (he'll need it!)

Very few players I would love to see succeed in the game than Diaby. The poor guy deserves a great career after all he's gone through. If he comes back and plays as well as he did at Anfield last season on a regular basis, our midfield would be absolute top drawer.

Yep, it has to be said, he's been through hell, getting paid over £27million for doing fuck all. The poor bastard. I'm just glad such tragedy has never befallen myself!

This is his career, his dream and it's been taken away from him through injuries. Money doesn't always compensate for everything.

April 2nd

'Arsenal FC can confirm that Abou Diaby will be out for a further six months following an elaborate April Fools trick involving the burning of Tomas Rosickys shoes, resulting in third degree burns and 47 paper cuts. The club wish Abou well during his rehabilitation'.
