Welcome: Mohamed Elneny

Post by QuartzGooner »

Deal is done.

Confirmed by Wenger.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35308910

Looks to me like a replacement for Arteta, an all-rounder continuity midfielder, rather than a tough defensive enforcer.

Probably brought in a few months early because of the large amount of injuries we have.

Continuing wenkers proud tradition of only buying top top quality players    :banghead:
Of course if he had of cost £30m instead of the pittance we are paying, then all you ungrateful b.stards would think that he is the mutts nuts

Yet again it is an example of le cock not recognising the team needs - DM is a specialist position so buying a box to box midfielder is a waste of time when we have enough f.cukers already that can do that job. The man clearly thinks that energy will compensate for positional awareness and a discipline to stay protecting the back 4   :censored:

Very underwhelmed and if (when) we balls up this golden opportunity to win the league, le cock will face an absolute grilling over his refusal to buy proven quality

What position does this guy actually play? Just checking so I know not to expect to ever see him playing there.

I'm thinking of Johnny Jensen in the level of excitement in this signing. Last successful Egyptian to play in the Premier League was/?? I'm sure one played at Tottingham during their successful season back in the late '90's.

Yes from Wengers stance its a clever move as no one is expecting anything great, so again its the proposal of look I'm proving everyone wrong again, its a Win Win situation for him

Or if he does not make the grade drifts into being a squad player, and everyone is quiet

McD - what's your knowledge of the Swiss football scene? Any stats for me or any relatives that would be able to provide a full appraisal ?

We moan when the club dont sign players :rubchin: ......we moan when they do sign players :rubchin: ....He may not be a superstar :rubchin: ..he may not be the savior of our great club :rubchin: ...but can we not just welcome him on board, give him a chance and see what happens after he's played half a season ? Also whats his squad number ?

Did anyone tell this kid that he can expect to be injured with a few weeks and then be out until early 2017, well let's call it the start of the 2017/18 season.

We don't buy superstars we make them :barscarf:

I for one welcome this signing because as I said on another thread he's surely got to be an upgrade on Flamini and Arteta and for that I give praise. Not the super quality player we need but an upgrade on the sh1te we already have.......surely?

Don't know why, but I think that this is going to be a shrewd signing. (at least I hope so)
