Wayno/ Mutley Gooner

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Was really sad when DB10 told me about this. Wayne was a top bloke and he'll be missed.

I know that crossing well as I've spent the last two years working on the railway based at Three Bridges depot. God only knows what he was thinking about trying to cross there. Its a bloody tragedy.

RIP Wayne

Hello all. Two updates for you. Both are delayed a bit due to my really crappy organisational abilities.

1.Wayne's funeral is at midday on wednesday at Crawley. Anyone who was linked to Wayne through facebook or knew him well will probably be aware already. If anyone wants more info then please pm me.

2. Anyone who would like to contribute toward a "tribute to Wayne" fund can use the following link (if it works) or just copy and paste to browser. I'll keep the account open for a couple of months. We need to decide between us how the money ought to be spent. And probably ask Wayne's wife Zoe for her opinion. We obviously shouldn't bother her with this while she and her children are in the early stages of grieving.

Cheers all. Be back soon.

Thanks DB10GOONER, it's sad to come back in this sad occasion. Olgit informed me about the accident, hope to raise a tenner in short time in Wayno's memory as I did for Charlie Charlie.

Wow, a shame it took a tragedy to bring some of the old skool (and quality) posters back here. But still great to see you guys post - even if temporarily. How are things NBM?

Coming out of forum retirement to pay my respects. 8)

Back in like 07/08/09 this was the place to be, it was an absolute riot most nights with the big man front and centre of all the shenanigans.

Wayno was hilarious, with a sense of humor up to the line, on the line and always my most favourite, way way past the line until the line was a dot in the rear view mirrors.

So, so sad to hear this but at the same time I can't help but smile as I write, thinking of all the good nights we had on here and multiple coffee spit emoji's I'd use up replying to his posts.
