The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Iwobi can replace him or the other Nigerian kid.

Reporter: Arsene, why is it that Thierry Henry left in 2007, but you refuse to buy a world class striker to replace him?

Wenger: We bought Onyekuru, sorry he didn't cost £100million, why you look at me?

Sounds like the Nigerian striker is not even happening, good really, he'd be another that would have to be sent straight out on loan to get a work permit, pointless signing when players are needed now.

There won't be much happening, he's making the same noise as he always does with regards to the squad being too big and needing to sell to make room, only top quality incoming and there's not many of those about....

We'll start the season, there's no summer tournament so he'll open up with the first team and chance it again like he always does, a bad start and he'll panic when the crowd kick off after a frustrating Summer, we've been here too many times.

Dear Little baby Jesus

If I promise to be good for the rest of the year, Will you please stop Mr Wenger from wasting £40 million on Riyad Fucking Mahrez

Thought City and Real Madrid had bid 130m?
Typical Arsenal, bid less than everyone else so they know full well they don't have to pay it yet can claim we tried.

I don't care who we're linked to, I don't care about fake 'warchests', I don't care about 'we tried'.

I only care about, come the start of the season, who we've actually signed.

Not getting caught up in bs media spin probably put out by the club and even if it is genuine, you get that feeling that we might at last 'go big' but it will be too little too late as the new TV money means a lot of teams can spend £100M on a single player and even midtable PL clubs could probably go to £50M for a marquee signing.

Arsene FC - always one step behind.

Also isn't it ST renewal time?. :rubchin:

Prove me wrong PLEASE. :banghead:

Just get it done, Sanchez is 29 and has acted like a kid in the second half of the season . Mbappe is mustard, I would sell Sanchez in a heartbeat if that meant replacing him with Mbappe.

More chance of Wonga suddenly announcing that he is stepping down to become no.2 to Steve Bould!!

Ooo
Why would Pires have any inside knowledge back in April ?
Do the club use him as a third party, so they can't be accused of tapping up ?
