Stoke on Sunday - Anyone interested ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A few jeers for a Calum Chambers back pass, some mild boos at half time but overall (copyright Wanka) the natives seem to be enjoying themselves.

They get to do the Oooooooooospina thing paying homage to an absolute dog turd of a keeper and there’s been cries of Shooooot when El Neny has it 35 yards out willing him to kill someone in row Z

IT’S JUST BANTER :barscarf:

Whatever anyone says this is bad PR for the club. A half empty stadium in a match that has little consequence for the club with players that are playing like they want the manager out themselves.

Little by little games like this will force the owners hand but it is like death by a thousand cuts.
This match is going to be repeated every Sunday this month (Southampton next week) and I am loving it!
This “apathy” protest is the most effective protest we have done for years.
Wenger might not survive a month of this - results are irrelevant

Radio saying some people may not have bothered coming back for second half as ground looks even emptier!

Wenger will probably see out the last year of this deal if we win the Europa and it is hard not see this type of crowd being the norm all next season when we inevitably fall far behind in the league. It would be incredible if the owner didn’t act at that stage.

Not strictly true as he fired Jeff Fischer. With the contract of Wenger up at that point it would be easier to break free and generate interest/more money with a new and fresh approach.

Yes I know that could have been done last summer but things are even bleaker now in terms of fan apathy. It has almost eaten up all the anger. This situation is worse for Wenger.

I reckon a defeat today sees Stoke down. Spurs, Burnley, West Ham and Liverpool should all beat them in next 4 games. By the time they play their last two against Palace and Swansea they will be six points off with the worst goal difference (-31 and falling). Good.
