Channel 5 " THE FEUD" AFC v Man U mon 23/04/18

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not a chance I am watching this if there is the remotest possibility of seeing anything to do with that fucking travesty up there in 2004.

I will take that burning bitterness to my grave.

Paul Scholes is a complete *word censored*. Thick, monosyllabic *word censored*. The ginger prick is sitting there going on about disgrace this, disgrace that, Arsenal blah, blah, blah when he was part of the biggest bunch of fucking cheating *word censored* who acted like scum and bullied every fucking ref who ever took charge of one of their games. Fucking prick. Phil Neville seems to look back on it all with a bit of give and take and perspective but that bitter little ginger *word censored* is still the same snide, dirty *word censored* he was 15 years ago. Little *word censored*.

Paul Scholes becomes a better player with every year he’s been retired.

He was a good player but couldn’t get a look in for England because Lampard and Gerrard were going around winning games week in week out and standing out on the highest stage every year. Don’t remember it being questioned too much at the time.

He never once won the United fans’ official Player of the Year yet retrospectively he has been elevated to some sort of god-like status.

This^this^this^. I've always felt like I wasn't seeing something everyone else could see with him and his post-career "genius" status. :censored:

Really enjoyed it.
When you see the way Ferguson talked to his players is it any wonder he was the most successful manager in history? Compare that to Wenger’s ‘go out and play, off you go’

Enjoyed That, wow the excitement and anticipation and passion came flooding back
If only we had players now that would refuse to lose, we may stand in a better shape.
If only they could of extended Highbury, & carried on competing, The move really changed everything
Hope Wenger watched that and it stirs something in him to drum "we are not going to lose at any cost" into the players for the up coming semi finals
Maybe if Fergie was managing Atletico !!
They could have extended Highbury, they chose not to - executive boxes / club level was more important you see 💵💵💵
Yeah this is a self-inflicted tragedy really. It is a decision Wenger and the club made that is permanent.

I hate to say something complimentary about Liverpool but they did what we should have done - even though at one time it looked like they would make the same mistake and build a new stadium. All four sides of Anfield have been redeveloped since we wont the title there but it still feels and looks like Anfield.

A modernised Highbury retaining the Art-Deco stands could have continued to be something unique in the game. I love Art-Deco buildings ... probably because of Arsenal.

The Hoover Company Building looks familiar.

Image
The old Littlewoods building in Liverpool is a awesome Art-deco example from 1930's. Been allowed to rot and vandalised.

I've grown to dislike scholes. Why is he so bitter against Arsenal?
Brilliant documentary.
The hurt of DB10 penalty miss that could've got us a double double.
But the win at OT, invincibles, keown really is a passionate Gooner. So proud of what we did. But 2006 move changed everything. We should've had 3 more league titles under Wenger, '98/99, 02/03, and 07/08.
I also believe had the team stayed sober for the 1990's we should have won 6 league titles in that decade, as 6 out of 10 season we had the best defensive record in the division.
