Is Chinese clubs throwing insane money at has beens still a thing or has the bat flu fucked that and all?

Only reason I ask is because the bug eyed bottle job would be the perfect signing to raise the profile of that league in my opinion so fingers crossed that Shanghai Rovers make an astronomical bid for the fucking prick.

The Mail say Newcastle are interested in the services of Rob Holding who they would like to bring in on loan. https://t.co/D3ZaDsObNk #Arsenal

Holding will be allowed to leave the club if & once Gabriel Magalhaes' deal goes through to join Mikel Arteta's side. However, Newcastle will have to be wary to fend off other suitors, with Leeds also believed to be interested in the signing of Holding. #Arsenal https://t.co/xyoTfrIoXc

Lionel Messi hands in Barcelona transfer request

Barcelona's season ended with an 8-2 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals
Forward Lionel Messi has asked to leave Spanish giants Barcelona this summer.

The Argentina international, 33, sent a fax to the club on Tuesday saying he wishes to exercise a clause in his contract, allowing him to leave for free with immediate effect.

Barca were beaten 8-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals on 16 August.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner made his debut for Barca in 2004 and has won the Champions League four times.

Barcelona, though, believe the clause has now expired and Messi is contracted to the club until 2021 with a 700m euro buy-out clause.

The board will meet soon and some consider the only thing that could placate Messi is the resignation of the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and early elections. But the Argentine seems determined to leave the club no matter what.

A legal battle is now set to follow between the club and the player. Messi had a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave for free, if he informed the club of his desire before 10 June.

That date has now passed so Barca believe the clause has expired but Messi and his team feel it should be extended to cover the prolonged season - which ran until August due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He sent a fax?

Seriously?!

What is this, 1993?

Blimey all the fuss over Messi throwing a strop and handing in a transfer request. If I was stan i'd offer £700,000,001 Obviously the £1 is for his mate suarez. He's never going to leave.
However, at 33 years old surely he is too old to be signed up by The Arsenal?

A reunion with baldy Pep the most likely destination for Messi? The sheiks have turned the oil wells up to turbo to fund the deal.

Hopefully.

Untwist all your knickers bitches and let me explain.

1. It'd be a nice kick in the guts to the Whores to lose their marquee player and hopefully put them back to where they were before they became every fake fan's favourite club and every complete arsehole's "second club".

2. If we are hoping anyone can stop the murdering mousers* from doing back to back leagues then let's be honest it's down to citeh and adding Messi might give them that bit of extra something they were missing last season.

3. Citeh are the lesser of all PL evils. Rather he sell a million jerseys for their Arab overlords than put a penny in the coffers at the victims* or the Manure filth.

4. If we don't sign him :D then it's best citeh do for all the above reasons.

Wolves made formal offer (below £20m) for Ainsley Maitland-Niles yesterday. Rejected by Arsenal as they seek higher fee for versatile 22yo. Among other interested clubs, 2 in Germany understood to be preparing bids. Background for @TheAthleticUK #WWFC #AFC https://t.co/CxhbX2McWn

According to @TEAMtalk, #Arsenal will sell Calum Chambers for the right price this summer & TEAMtalk understand Leeds are ready to fight Fulham for his signature. He has been told by Mikel Arteta that he is not in his long-term plans & is free to leave. https://t.co/w0W2CGFEJp

Arsenal have made it clear to Chambers that he can move on with a price of around £12m placed on his head. The Gunners also made it clear they would like to sell, rather than loan Chambers out. As far as Arteta is concerned Chambers’ Arsenal career is over.https://t.co/dF1Bcv0UdS

Fantastic post :barscarf:

Never understood the hatred for Citeh that I see from some Gooners ... you dont have to particularly respect the way they've achieved things but lets at least acknowledge that they've stopped some really vile clubs from being a lot more successful than they have been in the last decade.

I seen some story on ssn earlier linking matt doherty with a move from wolves to some other club (cant remember who), and the fee talked about was £12m - that would be an absolute steal imo. He is a tough right full who likes to get forward and chip in with assists and goals - in other words he is everything bellend isnt.
