a great man as well as a great manager.
Hoping for a recovery, but it sounds bad.
Football rivalries are irrelevant at times like this.

I'm not having that - he was indeed a great manager, but a great man ? No fcuking way

I bet you're great at funerals augie, jumping up to correct the grieving widow when she's giving the eulogy; "I'm not having that - he was indeed a great mechanic, but a great man ? To be honest it always pisses me off when a person dies and all the people who have been criticising the guy for years, are suddenly the one's talking about what a great guy he was

Yes I agree 100% , but he is still alive and it is ok to wish him a recovery...I detested him as a person when we were challenging them...He was a bitter man then.augie wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 8:53 pmg88ner wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 8:42 pmI bet you're great at funerals augie, jumping up to correct the grieving widow when she's giving the eulogy; "I'm not having that - he was indeed a great mechanic, but a great man ? Yes he has been an arrogant prick over the years. But he was a great manager. Wishing the man a speedy recovery. Hatred in sport..fair enough. But life and death, come on!

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson
Sad news.
Times like this you put rivalries etc aside and get a sense of perspective. As much as I loathed the man with all my guts I can only wish him well now. Get well soon Fergie.

he is 76 years old.
A person dying over 70 years of age is not a tragedy. Its the circle of life.

I’m with Augie on this one, I have no problem whatsoever speaking I’ll of the dead, a c u n t is a c u n t and that’s that.
That said I wish c u n t fergie a full recovery , but if that’s not to be then he won’t cease being a c u n t

I think that is a fair assessment of where I stand on the matter too. For what it's worth our own board's lack of vision and ambition c.1991 to kick on after dethroning the bin dippers led to the rise of the cu.nt that is (was!?) red nose so in the interests of fairness can I just say that our board are a bunch of cu.nts too.
Remember lads a level headed approach is always important
