Just another example of this farcical and arbitrary “clear and obvious” threshold. In England’s first game of the tournament Harry Kane was basically entered twice off corners and neither was deemed clear and obvious enough by VAR officials to be reviewed by the ref. Many refs interpret it to mean anything short of a shocker shouldn’t be overturned. Then the ref in the final goes and does that.

Once they scored the 3rd they were comfortably the better side and Lloris’ arrogance aside managed the game excellently.

The talk of robbery is because they went in 2-1 up at half time despite being second best by some distance and because they scored from a free kick which wasn’t and a penalty which wasn’t (and could well have had a penalty against for Pogba hauling down Mandzukic).

In the first half griezeman got a free kick for a blatent dive. From that free kick, pogba was standing in an offside position when he challenged manzukic who headed into hiw own net.
Near the end of the first half france were awarded a penalty that 99% of the football world are saying was never a penno
Aside from those 2 incidents, france never had a shot on target in the first half

You can choose to ignore those facts (cos you are clearly doing so), but in any game the first goal is crucial and even more so in a world cup final. Croatia as a nation have no pedigree of winning - they had dominated prior to the first goal, and then did unbelievably well to bounce back after that goal, to equalise and take control of the game again. It takes a really strong and experienced team to then have a second major decision to go against you and fight back, but to be fair to them they did come back at france without getting the equaliser, but when the 3rd french goal (in the 59th minute) went in it was all over. Now if you want to say that france controlled the game and were dominant in the last 30 minutes then I will agree with you, but to say that they were worthy winners and won fair and square is absolute horseshite

Btw, mbappe scored 1 but was otherwise anonymous, griezeman wasnt in the game at all, and giroud was.........well he was shite like he always is - laughable that he didnt have one shot on target in the whole tournament

Fucking brilliant. A man, who has just won the world cup playing as a striker has had exactly the same amount of shots on target as I have during the tournament despite me not playing in it and not watching any of it.
