Cazorla off?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lovely player, sad news but glad the banter years of giving players new contracts based on sentiment rather than ability to perform on the field seem to be at an end.

Good riddance.

sorry never was good enough, lots of pretty tricky moves but so lacking in the big games and when it came to the crunch. another one of the never quite good enough's we have come to accept as good in the dog days of the wenger era.

Monreal looks like he has been crying. :(

Shame, lovely player to watch but we are no longer a charity for ex footballers or managers.
Hope he gets back to full health & fitness and plays again.

Good riddance Mantis  Harsh in the extreme
Genuine 2 footed player, great touch, balance, vision - could / should have scored a few more.

Grimandi played in the title winning sides and Cazorla was definitely better than him... although that tackle on davids in the DB10 testimonial still ranks in my top 5 greatest moments at the Emirates.

Has there been 5 great moments at the Emirates?

Naaah mate - he was more than just 'decent'

One of the most skilled two footed players we've had at Arsenal in a long time.....given the right players around him he could really pull the strings...but hey different strokes for different blokes

The world don’t move to the beat of just one drum, what might be right for you may not be right for some.

What you talking about Willis ?

His absence from the team over the last 2 years has been a massive factor in our decline imo.

In reality we have scored more goals for the last two seasons than in any of the previous four campaigns. The issue is that we have been leaking goals - 95 in last two seasons after 36 in each of the previous two.

I like Cazorla But whilst he is better than the likes of Xhaka and Elneny then shoehorning him into the same side as Ozil every week has never given us balance or stability.

Eboue's cross for Henry's winning header against man Utd 2007.
Bruce Springsteen gig.

Santi (like Rosicky) was a brilliant technical player and with a better coach and better system of play he should have won a lot more with us. His goal in the FA Cup final was an amazing moment on what looked like becoming a terrible day for us. Loved him and wish him all the best. Fantastic player. 8)
